Slow Cooker Sauerkraut and Sausage

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
Awesome... So EASY to make! I used jarred sauerkraut and boiled in water for about 15 minutes to get out the "sour" taste ... works like a charm ... this is the closest recipe to my Polish mom's Sauerkraut dish. Added some salt and pepper too!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2015
Wonderful, just finished serving dinner and dessert to the family and this dessert was loved by all. A really nice home made flavour. I took the advice of others and used 1/2 coconut milk and the other 1/2 regular 1% milk. I used the microwave to cook the filling and used the technique of stirring it every one minute. It took me a good 7 minutes to get this filling to the right consistency, watch the last two minutes of it. Topped off with true whipped cream goodness. Mmm good. I will definitely make this again. I used a store boxed pie crust. Turned out better than I had thought.

Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2014
Perfectly moist cake! No need to ever buy a cake box again! Made a nice whipped cream icing to go with it and sprinkled cocoa powder on top. My husband was more than happy to receive it for his birthday. Will make it once again!

Cranberry Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2014
Absolutely excellent! The "only" thing I changed was taking out the cranberries. Overall a delicious moist cake that kept for days in the fridge. Your guests will think you bought the cake at the bakery!

Perfect... I can't duplicate my old country Polish mom's recipe; however, this is a good recipe to use.

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2014
Marinated the chicken for about five hours and helped the chicken retain its moisture. After grilling the chicken breasts for 25 minutes they were perfect. I added abit more mustard powder by accident, but still turned out great. I will definitely be making this again. Complimented the chicken with the Dole BBQ Ranch mixed salad mix to this and some side basmati and it made a perfect supper! Thanks for submitting.

Creole Shrimp

Excellent, for the people that think it is bland ... Try some seasoned stewed tomatoes that will do the trick.

Wonderful, not sure what the fuss is all about. Turned out great. The ONLY thing I changed was the cooking. 400 for about 25-30 minutes.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
Loved this recipe. Only thing is that I found it too spicy. Honestly the hot sauce is not really needed in this recipe. Marinated for about four hours and was extremely tasty. I will definitely be making this again. Cooked on a charcoal barbeque, made it even better!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

I think the Alfredo sauce is key in this recipe. If you find it not smooth enough add more mayo to the recipe until you get to you

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2013
This recipe was perfect. The "only" thing I really did differently was soak my raisins in hot water at the beginning for about 10 minutes. The cookies were chewy and not hard at all. After three days they still taste fresh. No more purchasing cookies from the local supermarket. I would highly recommend making this recipe. I was very hesitate after reading some reviews of the batter running while in the oven; however, using my amazing Kitchenaid mixer, made the recipe work like a charm. Thanks for posting!

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
Delicious ... why buy store bought jalapeno poppers when you can make these! Great idea with freezing them for 15-20 minutes, help out the cooking process. I would make these again in a heart beat. I added a chipotle season I had from Pampered Chef. It turned out great!

Mom's Best Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
Just made this last night for a bunch of working contractors ... Came home to rave reviews ... "Wow-I don't usually like pasta salad, but this one was great, what is the secret ingredient!" Thanks for posting. The only two things I changed was put Vidalia Onion for Red Onion since I didn't have one. I also took out the sugar as suggested by someone. I will ONCE AGAIN make this for another function! Ilove allrecipes.com, I can always find a great recipe!

Basil Dill Coleslaw

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Excellent, I can't say thank you enough for posting. I am tired of purchasing bottled coleslaw dressings and having them expire!!! This dressing is number 1. Everyone must try this out. You will not be disappointed! Since I did not have cider vinegar. I used 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 apple juice. Worked out great!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts III

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2015
I have made these a little different, with marinating the water chestnuts in some soya sauce, reduced sodium. I usually marinate for a few hours and then roll them in brown sugar and then the bacon and cook. Can't wait to try it this way. Everyone always loves them when I make them with the soya sauce way, can't imagine what they will do with this mixture. ??
