I'm a misanthropic foodie, with a taste for exotic and sometimes downright strange food. I generally end up foregoing measuring devices while cooking, which can be wonderful or disasterous depending on the day. I listen to everything from new age to contemporary indie music to funk, jazz, and swing. Also, my cat is named after Morrissey.
My favorite things to cook
Gnocchi with Vodka Sauce, Red Curry, Eggs over Easy. Simple southern dishes, like macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and grilled corn on the cob. Tilapia, tuna, or salmon marinated in an Asian-inspired soy-ginger-lime-ancho dressing. Enchiladas. Veggie Lasagna. Whatever I can manage with moderate success, really.

Toll House chocolate chip cookies. A simple garlic toast recipe I've been making since I could barely reach the stove.
