I'm 24 soon to be 25. I live in a small town of 4000 people. I live right on the ocean front. I love life. I have a beautiful little girl and a wonderful fiancee whom im marrying next year. Oh.. and i looooooove to cook!
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are probably the recipes that other people have claimed not to work out. I like a challenge. I have been baking and cooking so long that ive gone beyond the "just recipe" stage of life.. and have been looking for greater inspiration in other cusine. I love to adapt and change others recipes, tweak it and add some passion of my own. My favorite things to cook include pasta's,indian curries and of course i love to bake!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I dont think i really have a favorite family cooking tradition..although, every year at Christmas, i do make my moms butter tart recipe which is to die for.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumphs. I have won first place a couple of times at fairs for my cakes. My best cake would be a triple chocolate cake..its dark and decadent as ever. People just rave about my cooking when i come over and i have been lucky enough to have a couple of recipes of mine, used in the local restraunt which is aweasome cause the chef is very particular.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Wonderful cookie recipe. However, after reading reviews, i added an extra tsp of vanilla to it. I found however, that even with the extra tsp, they were still quite bland. I suppose these are supposed to have icing on them for that reason..to which i put some buttercream icing on it and ..yummmm!

Most delightful recipe ever. Just loved it..addicting of course...I used butter instead of shortening and i wont regret it..I omitted the cream of tarter and added 2 tsp of baking powder insted. They looked exactly like the picture and tasted amazing..

English Butter Tarts
I tried out this recipe and it wasnt bad. It would have been helpful to know how much filling to put in each tart shell as they rise a lot..which meant it came spilling over making me lose half my filling. I did try this recipe several ways to see what worked best.. I tried the recipe with Crisco and 2 eggs and it came out tasting eggy..yuck! Then i tried it with butter and 1 egg..This i found, was the best modification..Its not too runny and its nice and buttery..I find butter more flavourful than Crisco
