About this Cook
I always loved good food..but I could never make anything I liked. Then I became vegan. Ive also realized I am allergic to wheat/ you'd think Id be in pretty bad shape. Somehow, Ive made some of the best meals of my life using what some would dub a very restricted list of ingredients...and Im always looking to learn!
My favorite things to cook
Stews, soups, rice dishes, new things
My favorite family cooking traditions
Garlic! in everything..all the time
My cooking triumphs
Vegan, Gluten-Free Dressing for Thanksgiving! Vegan Carrot Cake, V Chocolate Chip Cookies, V Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, V Oatmeal Bars, my V I Screwed Up The Beans Minestrone, etc
My cooking tragedies
My first ever chocolate chip cookies (not vegan, not gluten free)..smelled/tasted like an omelete! Oh and my first (and last) attempt at Romanian don't even want to know.

Tasteful Tahini Salad Dressing
This has become my go to recipe for salad dressing. When Im out of fresh ginger, I sub a bit of ground ginger, either way this is delicious.

Bob's Salad Dressing
This was very yummy! I had to use grapeseed oil instead of olive because I was out, and also omitted the mayo and added a bit of plain rice milk (im vegan) but i dont think any of that changed the flavor of the recipe. Its a great dressing and would make a good veggie dip as well.
