Cream Soup Base

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
Personally I always try to use country gravy mix as my soup base, we purchase it and bulk, it always works perfectly for all cream soups and eliminates the milk. If I feel it is not creamy enough I just add some heavy cream just before serving.

Cinnamon-Peach Cottage Cheese Pancakes

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
Really neat recipe idea, just made my quick version (busy chef) used Krusteaz pancake mix, water, the vanilla, baking powder, salt, Splenda, cottage cheese and cinnamon, canned freestone peaches, no eggs, sprayed pan and added veg. oil, turned out wonderful and fluffy, think shredded apple would also be awsome for Fall season, also as waffle batter. Thanks!

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
Love this cake, comes out perfect every time. A neighbor makes it every Christmas for a local farmers market and sells a whole one for about $20+ dollars and or a large slice for $5 ea. Asked once for recipe but she said it was her sisters so she could not share it. It then took me less than 5 minutes to locate it online. Now I re-produce it for about $3 and get to eat as much as I want and share the recipe with everyone! Thanks allrecipes, Jackie Smith and the world of the internet.

Spaghetti Torte

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
Instead of just spraying the pan try lining it with parchment paper just cut a round the size of the bottom then a collar to line the inside sides and another round for the top spray all well with releacent(Pam-Vegelene, etc) this will ensure it not drying out and make a perfect torte shape when removed from pan.

Made this last night and it was fabulous! I sauteed fresh garlic in butter very lightly, added it to a well greased ramekin placed defrosted and well dried Scallops (Schwann) brand into the dish sprinkled with parmesan and panko and the onion powder placed in a very hot oven and turned the stove to high broil for 2 minutes, They came out lightly browned a perfect. Might make again tonight.
