Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Healthy Version: I used 1 cup unsweetened applesauce (in place of oil), 1 whole egg and 3 egg whites (in lieu of 4 whole eggs) and it tastes just as good as the original! If anyone can figure out how to remove the sugar without loosing the taste, let me know! :) Nutritional Info (1 slice): 178 Cal, 0.4 fat, 8.7mg cholest., 10.7 sodium, 41.1g carbs, 1.2g fiber, 26.7g sugar, 2.9g fiber

Luscious Slush Punch

This is a great recipe. I made 6 large flower ice cubes using a shaped silicon muffin/cupcake pan and put them in the beverage container to keep the punch cold. It was so tasty and the hit of the party!

Marshmallow Fondant

Invest in a Kitchen Aid ... you'll need it! With that aside, this is an awesome recipe! Clean-up is a breeze and I should know, since my hand mixer quit working while I made this icing. So, with 1/2 mixed fondant icing, I dumped the rest on the counter, grabbed my latex-free gloves, slapped on some butter and kneaded away. I had to add additional food coloring since I was making 3 batches and my mixer burned up midway through the first and it blended in perfectly (yellow to orange). Will keep this on hand and adding a KA to my Christmas Wish List! :)

Classic Macaroni and Cheese

Amish Friendship Bread I

My recipe called for pudding mix too, and it makes the bread very moist. I have made numerous breads and have changed the pans too. I've used muffin cups and made mini-breads (great for kids); cooking time is about 30-40 minutes and a bundt cake pan (ours is the flexible rubber) and the baking time was a little more than an hour, which is great for get togethers and parties. Everything freezes very well. Some people have frozen the dough, but I'm not too sure how that would work, since you are stopping the "process". I too, have used chocolate pudding mix, chocolate chips and nuts for a more chocolatey bread and it is yummy! Enjoy.

Fluffy French Toast

Lemon Blueberry Bread

This is a great recipe! I made muffins rather than the bread and cooked them for about 30 minutes, until the tops were golden brown. I didn't add the topping or the walnuts because my daughter is allergic to nuts! Let's just say, I've had to make double the recipe each time I made them! Remember to use muffin liners! :)

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

I've been using this recipe for about a year now. I use diced tomatoes rather than the whole. I've even made just the sauce and used it in other pasta dishes. This works VERY well with lasagna. True Italian flavor ... now, if only I could master the homemade pasta!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

This is by far the best recipe I've found for shortbread. I had to add an additional tablespoon of milk to the icing to make it more "drizzleable". A definite keeper in my recipe box!

Great recipe! I used 1 full Andes chocolate for the icing and they are awesome! I've had to hide some in the freezer so my husband doesn't eat them all! I made mine a little big so I had to adjust the cooking time by 5 minutes!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Absolutely awesome! I cooked my first turkey for my husband and I last year. He loved it. The meat was extremely moist and the taste was nothing I've ever tasted! Every turkey I make will be just like this!
