Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2003
Delicious! This was a recipe I did with my kids (Ages 7,4, and 2), and they did a great job. It was a nice mix of crisp and sweet. We used the full amount of apples, and used fresh Mckintosh, that we had picked that day.

Balsamic Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2003
This has become a staple vinaigrette for me. I use double the garlic, and it has a nice kick. I usually make double and store it for about a week in the fridge. Thanks Gary!

Creamy Italian Dressing I

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2003
I replaced the garlic powder with two cloves of garlic. This is an amazingly delicious recipe. My three kids (ages 7,4 and 2) gobble it up!).

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2003
I used two cloves of fresh garlic (instead of the powder) and this dressing was fabulous. My three young kids ate the entire salad. It is an excellent recipe!

These are good, but the tops were a little too sweet for me.

Crispy Fish Fillets

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2002
I am not a fish lover (or liker, for that matter), but I am trying to get my kids to like it. They loved this recipe, and my 3 year old son, who says he "hates fish!" ate two fillets. A success, I'd say!

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2002
My husband made this tonight. It was very good! He made a few substitutions. He used whole tomatoes instead of diced, and for spices he used Italian spices and Montreal Steak spice. Tasty!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2002
These brownies were to die for. Do NOT use too much butter (or use un-salted) when you grease the pan; My last batch was a bit salty because of it. That did not stop my hubbie from eating them!

These were easy, rich, and tasty! I froze them, and served them a few weeks later, and they were still like new. Thanks Kay...

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2002
I have made this twice to rave reviews. The recipe is very forgiving about the amount of bananas. I made it once with too few bananas and once with two many bananas, and they were both good. Thanks for sharing this one Shelley!

This recipe tasted very good. I did NOT add the anchovies, and it was still good. My 6 and 3 year olds ate tons.

Great Sauce! I used double the garlic for my garlic loving family. I did not have rosemary, so I used Italian Spices instead. I also only put 1 cup fo water.

Pistachio Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2002
Great flavours with a nice pudding texture. Four people asked for the recipe, and were very impressed at how easy it was to make. I would keep in the fridge as long as possible before serving.

Amusement Park Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2002
This tasted great, and had a nice texture! The only problem I had was that it was not fully cooked in the middle. I kept it in the fridge for a week, and merely heated it up in the toaster oven as needed. I will make this again.

Candy-Coated Milk Chocolate Pieces Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2002
These cookies were loved by kids and adults in my family. I used some semi-sweet chocolate as well since I did not have a full 2 1/2 of M&Ms. I used mini-M&Ms instead of bits.

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Very tasty but I would use a little less sugar in the recipe. I also added mushrooms and wine. We doubled the recipe, and it still turned out.

Peanut Butter and Banana French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2002
All I have to say is that my 6 year daughter refused syrop because she said the toast was 'tasty enough'! I was shocked, as she has a huge sweet-tooth! I also added cinnamon.
