California Chicken Soup

This was very good, but I did add more seasoning and used less water. I used two 14oz cans of chicken broth and 2 soup cans of water. Probably needed a bit more liquid. I boiled for 20 minutes, added frozen broccoli, boiled another 7 minutes or so and added refrigerated tortellini. That only needed about 5 minutes and it was done. I added 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp dried parsley, and 1 tsp dried thyme. Made this way it was flavorful and we all enjoyed it!

Slow Cooker Chicken Dinner

This was good, although a bit bland. I added 1/2 a can of chicken broth because it didn't seem like enough liquid.

Cheesy Peas

Easy Smoked Salmon Pasta

Yes, this was easy! It gets 4 stars because I doctored it. I only used 6oz of pasta and used penne because that's what I had. I doubled the sauce and used 2oz of cream cheese. I used 4oz of salmon. I also threw a little flour into the sauce to thicken it up. Just personal preference. Topped it with pepper. Made this way I'd give it 5 stars!

Good-Morning Banana Nut Cereal

My family enjoyed this, even my 9 year old son, which is great. My "pinch" of salt was too big, so it was too salty. I think I'll just leave that out next time. I used ground flax for oat bran.

Ratatouille Bake

We enjoyed this dish, although it could have used 12oz of pasta. I used zucchini and yellow squash since that's what I had on hand. Also fresh tomato rather than canned. Loved the flavors and it was a nice, light meal.

Maple Glazed Chicken with Sweet Potatoes

Wow this is delicious! I added a little butter to the sweet potatoes but that's all they need. The syrup makes them plenty sweet. I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil and left out the onions because I didn't have any.

Honey Soy Tilapia

This was very good, with a nice little amount of sweet from the honey. I would recommend marinating longer than 30 minutes though. It was very subtle with the shorter time.

Milky Way® Cupcake Icing

Fantastic, rich frosting. I doubled it to frost a cake, and if you do that you'll also need to double the microwave times. Whisk it really well and it will be nice and creamy. Excellent!

Chicken Zucchini Bake

This is a good meal. I used a 9x13 pan, so only 1 can of rolls and that was fine. Used 3 chicken breasts and boiled them in some chicken broth first. Also only used about 1 cup of cheese. I added salt, pepper, basil, and garlic powder to the chicken zucchini combo too, to give is more flavor. Couldn't taste the honey mustard at all.

Squash Stuff

Well this was quite enjoyable. I did reduce the seasoned salt and pepper to 1 tsp and I added 2 tsp of Italian seasoning and 1 tsp garlic salt. Still plenty peppery for me. I only had a 15 oz can of crushed tomato, so I added an 8 oz can of tomato sauce as well. The potatoes need about 30 minutes to cook. As promised, great with cornbread!

Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie

This is a fantastic pie! It was very easy to put together. Followed the receipe exactly. It's really rich, so topping with whipped cream is a good idea! You do want to keep it chilled. If you leave it sitting out in the summer it will "melt".

Dirty Diapers

My book club enjoyed these! I took the advice of others and added a packet of onion soup mix and 1/4 cup of water to the beef. I also stirred in 1 1/2 cups of cheese with the meat and it held together fine. Used 3 packages of rolls and did not cut them in 1/2. Simple and yummy!

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Excellent cookie! As others suggested, I made the filling first and then chilled it while I made the cookies. I added 1 Tbsp of milk to the filling to hold it together a bit. The cookie dough is very soft and so it's nice to have the filling set a little. I did run out of filling before I ran out of cookie dough, but that will improve as I make these more and have a better feel for how large to make the middles. These are very rich and delicious!

Sweet Pretzel Nuggets

This is a nice combo of salty and sweet. I used pretzel rods because they were much cheaper than then nuggets. Just broke them into pieces. I only needed to microwave about 3 minutes total for the oil to all soak in, however, the cinnamon and sugar did not stick that well to the pretzels. I was left with a bunch in the bowl. Other than that, these worked nicely.

Butter Frosting

This is maybe the sweetest frosting I've ever had! It made the roof of my mouth tingle. I like that, but be advised if you don't! It looses points because it didn't set up well for me and slid off the cake. Probably need to keep it refrigerated.
