Traditional Russian Pirozhki

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Ok..I cannot BEGIN to tell you how awsome this bread is! You simply CANT mess it up...And believe me I did some pretty dumb things this time but the bread just rolled its eyes at me and thought to itself..."looks like Im on my own!" I thought for sure it would just be a train wreck but low and behold it was superfabuloso!! For you novices out there this is the recipe for you. And dont let it fool you. I had some leftover dough and filled it with roastbeef rice and cheese and some seasoning on it was a mouth wattering experience!! You can stuff this bread with anything...use your imagination, and go wild!~ thank-you,thank-you thank-you mariasaurus Rex!!

it was tasty and easy to make - I made mini muffins along with the bread to send to my grandsons class. He came back with 3 and they were eaten before we went to bed.

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
OM Goodness!! It is only 7:30 am and I did this recipe. This is fantabulous! I too, like other members, did the french fry style with half of the potato and the other I did in small chunks. I left off the black pepper and used ginger with the other spices....baked in 375* oven for 25 min. then 3 min on lo broil. I made a double batch of the seasoning and used the extra to make a dipping sauce. (I used Miracle Whip) but its a little overpowering....so next time I will use mayo or sour cream instead. GREAT RECIPE! thanks to the one who submitted it!!

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
I just took these out of the oven!!! OMG They are heavenly!! And to think I started to trash them cause I thought they would be too cake-like. And so did my daughter. Dont let the recipe fool you, and MOST OF ALL do not over cook!! They will be a little gooey when you first take them out but dont worry they will be fine...YUM

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
did the recipe almost as it said followed other reviewers advice and increased boiling time to 2 min. (the second time around) it tooka while for the first batch to set and I was getting worried but they turned out just fine even only cooking for 1 min. was very easy and very good. I did use fat free evaporated milk and increased PB to 3/4 cup.

I thought this was fantastic and had lots of bold flavors! It was not fishy at all (I thouoght I might even add some more anchovies) the only thing is it is too runny .....how should I thicken it? other than that .....LOVED it. Margaret

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Great soup just as is....I put more chicken broth in after everyone had gotten a bowl so adding about 1/2 to 3/4 cups more chicken broth doesnt detract from the flavor in the least. Thank you soooo much for this recipe

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
This recipe was EXTREMELY easy!! I used 2 extra TBSP of butter (I know I know....fat fat fat!) but good good good! and put some chopped vermicelli in mine....then followed the recipe but I used dried basil and garlic for the seasoning. It is very tasty. Oh and by the way you could just stop after the orzo is tender and it is still very good.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
My grandson and i made this together~!! I made it with the raisen bread and only made half the recipe. It makes alot. I also did the traditional sauce to go with it but believe me it is just as good without it. Also, my bunch doesnt even like rasins but they LOVED this dish....so did my pastor. Thanks for a great recipe Margaret
