Well, the short story is I have Lupus and am mostly wheelchair & bed bound-I enjoy cooking(on good days)with my daughter. She’s practically grown but still my baby girl! She does most of the cooking so this is her site also. I have picked up “YOGA- for Chronic Pain and Arthritis” ( not the religion part) for the benefits and it’s amazing, every work out is 15min but you feel like you are getting massage while you do it. It’s amazing it’s also helping my lung function improve, gotta love lupus, it’s a non discriminatory disease. ( I am on O2 full time because of SLE)
My daughter- she’s an amazing cook, love to bake and Oh Can she bake. She creates the most wonderful recipes for the grill and to for baked goods. We like experiment to create recipes to that are healthy instead of full of junk but most importantly DELICIOUS!
Unlike the options given, Our hobbies are: Church, reading the Bible, charity work, LOTS of it on her part ( I used to be, now I cheer her on from the side lines and

My favorite family cooking traditions
cooking with my family: Esp teaching my daughter family recipes or creating our own special blends.
we all were brought up to be cooking with mom, grandma, great grandma etc as soon as we could sit up on our own, we were in the kitchen stirring something!
My cooking triumphs
enjoying watching my daughter create recipies and enjoy cooking those that were handed down through the generations. I know they will be safe for generations to come.
My cooking tragedies
When I first was married, I didn't know how to "time food" to get done at the same time, for that matter same hour! So on our 1st Valentines day as hubby & wife, he ruined the bbq chx on the grill and I ruined the rest. The food was ready in intervals from 5pm to 11ish. So we finally went out for ARBY‘s.
The absolute worse thing I ever had happen cooking was “Turkey Day 1995“: at the in-laws, in the kitchen, 10 min to dinner being served. My mom-in-law handed me dinner rolls, gave me a SIMPLE TASK, to put butter on them and find a basket or something to serve them in. Easy enough, any one could do that, right? NO! my bro-in-law was trying to help me so we could get them out, and NO ONE looked to see the kitchen stove was on still and I accidentally set them on HOT HOT burners on the stove. I managed to BURN the whole bottom of the cookie sheet and ruin the rolls form bottom up! They were buttered well though, just as she asked! I just didn't think to make sure they had turned the stov
