Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
Stuck fairly close to the recipe with a few small changes. Doubled all ingredients except brown sugar. Added 1 tsp. balsamic vinegar and 1/2 c. chopped onion and one clove of garlic. Also omitted the onion powder. Rich, tangy & hearty sandwiches. Will definitely make again.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
Very bright and tasty recipe just as written. I changed nothing and my entire family adored it. For a future change up I might try adding cilantro as other posters suggested but it is certainly not necessary.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Loved this recipe and wouldn't change a thing! So juicy and delicious. We served it straight out of the crock pot on buns and our guests added KC Masterpiece if they wanted. Really terrific.

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2005
I really loved this recipe. I substituted brown rice for the couscous and cut out the chicken stock completely. I also used fresh corn instead of frozen and dry black beans instead of canned. Doubled the dressing recipe and added 1/2 tsp. of salt and the flavor was bright and tasty and the sodium wasn't too high for me. I plan to make this again and again.

Very tasty. Can't go wrong with these basic ingredients and you can always adjust the seasonings to suit your taste.

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2004
I can't say enough good things about this recipe. These spring rolls are so tasty, light and healthy. They come very close to the restaurant rolls we love. They are fun to make, too!

Spinach and Tortellini Salad

This is always a winner at potlucks. In addition to fresh spinach I also add a handful of chopped fresh basil. It tastes lovely.

Easy and Delicious! Absolutely no changes are necessary for this recipe to turn out perfectly. My husband found this recipe years ago and we have loved it everytime we've made it! Thanks, Stacy!

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: May 1, 2003
This cake was fantastic. A personal tip that I think would have helped all of the folks that had so much trouble . . . make sure you buy cake mix that DOES NOT already have pudding in the mix. I bet some people accidentally had double the pudding. Some other people's tips that I followed - 1 Tblsp of flour mixed in the mini chips before adding to batter. Really butter the non-stick bundt pan and leave 1 1/2 inches space between batter and top of pan. There will be batter left over. Vanilla instead of almond extract. Ovens vary so watch the cake carefully - mine was done in 60 minutes. Let the cake rest for 10 minutes and you will notice it falling significantly. That is supposed to happen. That's why the cake turns out so dense and fudgy! We drizzled the cake with a dark chocolate ganache and filled the center hole with fresh raspberries and chocolate leaves. It looked like something from Better Homes and Gardens! My 8 year old son won Most Chocolatey Cake at his Cub Scout cake auction. It also set a record for most money paid for a cake - $31.00!

Beef Wellington

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2003
This recipe was superb! Much easier than the version I tried a few years back. The only adjustment that was made was additional wine in the beef stock. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and we couldn't get enough!

I've made this recipe twice already and both times it turned out wonderfully. The only change I make is a LITTLE additional salt and pepper.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2002
I liked this recipe but thought that the vanilla pudding made the cookie too sweet. Next time I will keep the pudding but cut back on some of the sugar.

Chicken Crunch

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2002
This recipe is so bad for you that it had to be GOOD! And it was DELICIOUS! I did double the amount of chicken and still think that next time I will cut the amount of soup/sour cream mixture in half. What a fun and decadent recipe!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2002
This recipe was a tasty and SIMPLE surprise! Though I dislike ranch dressing I followed the recipe as written and it was delicious. In fact my whole family liked it. I left the green onions off of my young son's and he enjoyed it, too. Very nice recipe.
