Herbed Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
Super good and so easy to make! What a great way to make an economical side dish with things I usually have in my cupboard. I followed the recipe exactly, but sliced my potatoes extra thin with a mandoline. I cooked at 325F for an hour and half, but believe the dish would have been ready in just an hour since my slices were so thin. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
I made this for the first time today and it was delicious. I did change the recipe a little--I couldn't find powdered au jus, so subbed a 2ish oz packet of brown gravy mix. I added 2 cans of water (the can from the condensed, and low-sodium! soup) to make more gravy and it turned out wonderful. I must say that the 15 min prep time is a little optimistic--to really brown the patties in the skillet alone takes more time than that.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
oh this was very tasty and easily changed based on ingredients you have on hand. I've usually chopped up more jalapenos because I like it a little spicier than written. Also good with chopped green or black olives and garbanzo beans. I haven't used chopped onions, but instead chopped green onions.

Chicken Paprikash II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
Really good recipe. I made it according to directions except that I used 3 lbs of chicken thighs. The sour cream really toned down the spiciness of the paprika/red pepper flakes. This will be a repeat recipe at my house.

Hot Curried Fruit

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Yum! I made this exactly as written and it was very delicious with ham dinner as a side . We then used the leftovers the next day at breakfast over waffles w/whipped cream. The only thing I will change next time is add more pears because they were our favorite. We will be using this one again for sure.

Taco Pie

Super quick & very easy to make. A great change from regular old "taco night". I would probably add diced onions as I brown the beef next time though.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
I enjoyed this recipe very much. I did make a few changes (doesn't everyone?) I added a lb. of sweet italian sausages and browned it with the onion and garlic. I didn't boil the noodles and all but the top noodles were soft by the time I finished cooking. I will soak the top layer noodles in hot water next time. Changed the spices a little -- a Tbsp of basil, oregano and 1/2 tbsp of fennel seeds added at the simmering stage. The amount of cheese was perfect. Thanks for submitting this yummy recipe.
