About this Cook
I am a Registered Dietitian with a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition
My favorite things to cook
cupcakes, soups
My favorite family cooking traditions
where everyone stays the hell out of my way and out of my kitchen! Too many cooks in the kitchen drives me nuts!
My cooking triumphs
1.) '05 Christmas Prime Rib.... I'll never top that, there was an Angel on my shoulder that day! 2.) My favorite Banana Bread recipe which I'll never share (can't afford to lose the exclusivity of the one thing I make that everyone loves), sorry!!!!
My cooking tragedies
years of burnt steaks.... but now I dont do that anymore. One time, I burned the oriental sauce for covering chicken, it smelled up the whole house....and tasted horrid, we had to throw it all away and start over, everything on the plates... side dishes and all, I felt so badly, but I got side tracked by the baby and I didnt think it was burned, just over condensed so I added water to it to reconstitute it and poured it all over on top of the chicken, rice, and broccoli I had plated and oh boy was that a mistake.....

Thanksgiving Meatloaf
meh. it was OK. not the greatest, but not the worst "meatloaf" I've made. I chose this recipe because I had some ground turkey that needed to be used up, and I actually had all the ingredients on hand. it was moist freshly cut, broke up easily, and I made a side of poultry gravy and mashed potatoes. My 6yr old ate it, and at first he said it was really yummy, but as he ate he grew tired of it and said is wasn't his favorite and asked me not to make it again. My husband thought it was just nice to have something different, and that it was a good idea for a healthier meatloaf (as opposed to red meat), but not in his top tier of favorites. Overall Edible and Tasty in small doses and does well with gravy.

Potato Pancakes
Maybe I did something wrong but mine came out pasty and bland, and didnt cook evenly. My husband begged me not to make it again, and that I butchered a traditional family food
