KOOL-AID® Lemonade-Iced Tea

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2006
This worked out pretty well. I didn't use Splenda and used regular sugar instead, making it into a simple syrup. I didn't have any lemons or lemon juice so this worked in that regard.

Simple to prepare. I used an olive oil/butter combination to saute the mushrooms. Added more garlic than called for.

Left out the green pepper and also reduced the amount of oregano. Very fresh tasting.

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2006
Great recipe. I used Italian sausage ravioli from Sam's Club and two jars of spaghetti sauce from Aldi (Traditional Style). Used more mozzarella and Monterrey Jack and added some frozen, diced onions as well as dried basil and garlic powder. It was great tasting. I will be making this for some other people in the near future.

Pizza Salad II

Yummy salad. Went great with the Baked Ravioli recipe. Used sundried tomatoes instead of fresh and left out the green peppers. Used Trader Joe's Italian Balsamic dressing and it was perfect.

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket II

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2006
Made this yesterday using a 5 pound brisket. I used two packages of onion soup mix and only one can of Coke. Cooked on high in the slow cooker for about six hours. I shredded the meat and put on sandwiches. It was very tender and had a nice flavor but I think I would like to have more flavor so I will experiment with adding other seasonings. It turned out more like BBQ instead of brisket.

Real Sopapillas

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2006
I was so happy to find this recipe! I have loved sopapillas for years even though I have only had them once or twice. You must drizzle with honey! I bet a chocolate sauce would be great too.

Best Green Beans

We all loved this recipe. Used peppered bacon (only about one-eighth of a pound) and microwaved a frozen bag of haricort verts from Trader Joes. Everyone had seconds including the kids.
