Freak'n Good Ribs

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2003
Delicious! Very easy to make and the combination of ingredients makes for a mouthwatering dinner. I used this with boneless, country style ribs and it was a huge hit. Tender, juicy and flavorful. Great for a crowd.

Chicken and Asparagus Fettuccine

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2006
This was wonderful! I did follow some other reviewers suggestions and added a bit of flower to the melted butter, then added some cream cheese after the half-n-half. Added a tiny bit of nutmeg. I didn't have cayenne pepper, but did use chili powder in place of it. This was WONDERFUL and I can't wait to make it again! Directions were very simple, I did use a whisk and constantly stir once I added in the parmesan cheese. Phenomenal!

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2006
I followed many of the recommendations of other reviewers. I sliced my strawberries first, and added a combination of sugar/confectioners sugar so that a juice would be made. Then I used 1 1/2 cups of those sliced strawberries in syrup and pureed another cup of the strawberries in juice. I added walnuts and it was delicious. I've been asked by 3 people already for the recipe. I made it in a bundt pan instead of the 9 inch loaf pans. Can't wait to make again!

Obviously I wouldn't confuse this with a crab cake, but these were delicious! Very flavorful, refreshing and a filling meal! Can't wait to make again!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2007
Delicious! I added potatoes and some onion to the cooked veggies and a pinch of crushed red pepper to the sauce. Kids went crazy, everybody had seconds and are already asking when we're having it again. I'll have to try with beef instead of chicken too.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Excellent! I used evaporated canned milk with additional regular milk. Next time I would add a bit more milk, as it was a bit thick. I used salt, pepper, celery salt and a bit of crushed red pepper in the cream mixture. Excellent! :) Will be making this one again.

Tender and tasty. Would try a bit more garlic or lemon juice to tenderize the meat. Family loved it though!

Delicious...we overcooked it a little, but the flavor was delectable! Mashed potatoes with the gravy was perfect!

Kansas City Steak Soup

Delicious! Added more carrots and celery than it called for, dredged the beef in flour and deglazed the pot with some dry red wine. Delicious! Will definitely use this one again and again. Fabulous way to use round steak.

Southern Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
The recipe itself was easy and straightforward. I did alter it a bit, so I can't rate it as is, but I will share my alterations. I added caraway seeds and celery seed as one review suggested. I also added a bit of balsamic vinegar, and a little less sugar. Cooked it up for about 15 minutes and added in crushed ramen noodles just before serving. Delicious!!

Easy and Quick Halushki

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Delicious!!! I used more bacon than the recipe called for because quite frankly, who doesn't love bacon? I added a bit of sugar to the cabbage as it was cooking and caraway seeds when I added in the noodles. This was a winner and will be made again, often!!

Chef John's Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2013
AMAZING!! I have made this several times this summer and it has been a hit each time. I have made it with peaches, peaches and raspberries and with blueberries. Delicious! I have directed many, many people to this recipe as a result. I have made it in a 13 x 9 pan and that has worked well, although I have had to cook it longer. I highly recommend it.

All Day Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2013
Amazing! Added the pasta uncooked as many suggested. I also added chopped crispy chicken tenders and wing sauce for a little variety. Cooked it for 2 hours on high. It was delicious and gone! Will make again. Lots of requests for the recipe after our holiday luncheon yesterday.
