Blueberry Bars

This recipe is definitely a keeper! I had a housewarming party and this pan of bars was gone by the end of the evening. Like some previous posters, I had multiple requests for the recipe.

This is a great recipe and really easy to make. You can use basically any veggies you want to suit your audience! I've also varied the extra spices added to the sour cream/cream cheese.

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

This is a great recipe! I was skeptical about it because I am not a fan of sauerkraut but this is SO good. I added about 1/2 cup of dressing and this made it just a touch creamier. I served it with cocktail rye and rye chips but some people just ate it by the spoolfuls. I will definately make this dip again!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

These are the best oatmeal cookies I've ever had! I made a batch with white chocolate chip and a batch with raisins. The cookie remains really chewy which I love. I will definately make these again.

Mardi Gras King Cake

I made this cake last night and it's already half gone at work today! I made the dough exactly as the recipe stated but made one ring with the cinnamon/brown sugar filling and then made a cream cheese filling for the other. I only had regular crystal sugar for the colored sugar which worked fine but if you want a more solid color I would suggest using sanding sugar.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Really great and easy recipe! After reading a few of the reviews I did half brown and half white sugar. I'm sure any combo would work great. The pumpkin is mild enough even for those who aren't big fans of it.

Black Magic Cake

This cake turned out VERY moist! I am glad the notes indicated that the batter would be thin or I would have been a little concerned. The taste was very rich but not so rich that you couldn't finish a good sized piece! I made some chocolate fudge frosting to top it with. I will absolutely make again.

Excellent recipe! This turned out very moist and everyone at a work retirement party loved it. I used frozen berries and it turned out fine. I used a 12 oz bag which was a bit more than 2 cups but I liked the extra fruit. I had no problems with using sugar in the pan and liked the little extra crunch it gave. I will absolutely make this again. I like to have a good recipe that I don't need a glaze or frosting for but next time I might try a lemon glaze for something different.

Caroline's Chocolate Fudge Frosting

I liked the flavor of this frosting but it was a bit thin for my taste even after giving it time to set up. I didn't add any of the additional milk and ended up adding a little more soft butter and powdered sugar to make it the consistency I preferred. I will make this again because the taste was good!

This is my go to recipe for pumpkin bread! I like the level of spice and it's super moist. If I want to make it more of a dessert I will mix up some cream cheese frosting for the top

Apple Crisp II

The subject line of the first email I got about the apple crisp was this "KILLER APPLE CRISP!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG Heavenly" I tried the suggestion of others and made double the amount of the topping and put half on the bottom. I didn't use any of the water but next time might use just a tablespoon or two at most and back off just a touch on the cup of sugar that I mixed with the apples. If you like it extra sweet keep the full cup.

Chicken in Mushroom Sauce

This is such a simple recipe and I love that! I made the bacon in the microwave to save a little time. I did add a couple of cloves of garlic and some soy sauce. I think you could really add just about any seasoning that your family would like. I had this on low for just over 3.5 hours and the chicken was so tender it just fell apart. I think this would work well with pasta or rice on the side

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Overall I really liked the flavor of this recipe. I did add a few more cloves of garlic for my personal taste. I used a red onion because I prefer that flavor. I used a 4 lb roast but you could easily increase that to maybe 5 for the amount of sauce the recipe makes. After I shredded the pork and returned it back to the sauce, I added a big squirt of bbq sauce. I did mine on low and it went about 11 hours and it was perfect.

Peanut Butter Bars

Everyone really enjoyed these bars the few times I've made them. I chose to use butterscotch chips instead and that was a big hit! I made extra icing because the family loves icing of any kind. I put it in a zip loc bag and cut the corner off and used that

Baked Chicken Nuggets

These were awesome! I had made a chicken recipe before using grated parmesan so I was eager to try this version. I didn't have the spices so I used two teaspoons of a dried italian spice. My brother absolutely loved these as did I! I will make these again for sure

Candied Sweet Potatoes

These turned out great! Like some of the other readers I used a little less OJ since I had NOT from concentrate and it was mentioned it might be too strong, this worked out perfectly! I was concerned there might be too much sauce so I scooped some out and just added a little more at the end. I did end up adding a bit more brown sugar to thicken the sauce up. Also I slightly underboiled the potatoes to keep them from being too mushy and right at the end I turned the heat up almost to high to get a some good carmelization on them and it worked out perfect. I will absolutely make this again

I think this was a really flavorful recipe and will make it again. I like cilantro so I added a little more. The leftovers froze really well in ziploc bags in single serve sizes.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

I was pretty happy with this recipe. After reading other reviews I didn't precook the chicken. I cut the breasts in half and took them out about an hour before it was done, shredded it and put the chicken back in. I also added a can of black beans because they are a favorite of mine. I also dumped a little rice in there. I have no doubts I'll make it again.
