Mushroom and Potato Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
Wow... suprisingly flavorful! My husband and I love this soup! I have made it once with the amount of butter and cream called for and once with half the amount, and I didn't notice much of a difference at all, so I would probably do that again, just to make it a bit lower fat. I will make this again and again!

Wild Rice Harvest Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
It's a bit bland as written but has GREAT potential. I now add more poultry seasoning and season the chicken when I cook it. I also started adding a little bit (like 1/4 cup) of long grain white rice so it wouldn't come out so soupy.

Rice Stuffing with Apples, Herbs, and Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
WOW! So good. I feel bad rating this because I didn't have quite all the ingredients, but it was just so yummy that I have to say something! I only used dried cranberries and then doubled the apples, and it was absolutely incredible. I also ended up picking some of the parsley out after I'd added it because it seemed like too distinct of a flavour. Maybe I just needed to cut it a little more finely. I also threw in some chopped pecans to one serving of it, and that was a great addition too!

Rolls don't get any better than this! Not the most nutritional things out there, but they sure are good for a treat!

Country Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
Don't let the simplicity of this recipe turn you off (if it would....). It's fantastic! It never lasts long at our house, but it always stays moist for its shelf life. I usually add a teaspoon of vanilla to the batter... it doesn't make a huge difference, but it's what I do.

Apple Orange Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe... I have made it several times, not always the exact same way, but it always turns out perfect. After making it several times with w cups of sugar, I now use 1-1/2 cups instead. Also, I typically use 3 apples instead of 2. And I always use orange zest instead of the lemon extract. Craisins are a great alternative to raisins--I like it both ways. This recipe is fantastic for using up fruit that isn't in perfect condition. Five stars all the way!!!

Cinnamon Focaccia

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
This was wonderful! The dough was soft and chewy and almost an inch thick! I wondered if it would be enough of a topping, but it was perfect... reminded me a dessert pizza!
