About this Cook
A lip gloss-lovin', stiletto-wearin' chameleon with a passion for cuisine, literature and felines. I am in nursing school and plan to eventually obtain my Master's and specialize in endocrinology, with a focus on juvenile diabetics. I have been living with juvenile diabetes since 1990.
My favorite things to cook
Anything with chicken, beef or fish. I love starchy food, especially pasta. I recently obtained a hand-me-down crock pot and have been striving to cook something irrisitably delicious.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Finger food for Christmas Eve, like cocktail weenies, sauerkraut balls and barbeque meatballs.
My cooking triumphs
A pot roast that slow cooked in my crock pot for eight hours. I made mashed potatoes and green beans. It was absolutely fantastic! Love my Snickerdoodle recipe as well.
My cooking tragedies
Zucchini bread. I can never get it to cook throughout the middle of the loaf. It's always soft and undercooked.

Snickerdoodles IV
Easy to make, always a crowd pleaser. I baked these for an office holiday party and had my co-workers begging for more!

Best Moist Chocolate Cake
I made this and I'm not sure what I did wrong, but after it was finished baking and cooled off, it was DRY. I hate dry cake! What did I do wrong?

Banana Banana Bread
Best banana bread I have ever made. It is also the easiest! I have mastered the recipe and always receive compliments about the taste. I usually cook it at ten degrees cooler so the top of the loaf doesn't burn. It cooks better in a glass bread-loaf pan, for some odd reason.
