I want to start eating healthier and have been watching what I make and eat. I'm hoping that you can give me some new or creative ways to eat healthy esp snack foods. I am particularly interested in low calorie ideas. When you are eating healthy what do
you like to munch on in between meals?
I love to cook and am always trying new recipes. I cook home cooked meals daily, bake regularly and love to entertain. I am a mom and donate baked goods to school functions often.
My favorite things to cook
Any kind of dessert. I love to bake and make desserts for family, friends and charity. I also enjoy making down home southern style and comfort dishes, similar to what your grandma would make. I always cook to taste and don't mind getting dirty when making a good meal. I am humble enough to take constructive criticism and suggestions for a better and/or easier dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking cookies at Christmas time for family and friends. Cooking Thanksgiving and sometimes Christmas meals for my family.
My cooking triumphs
Potato salad, Reuben dip, Shepard's pie, Beef Bulgogi, crepes, Turkey, Baked ziti, Ham and potato soup, Country style steak, Mexican pork casserole, Coleslaw, pho, Mexican beef stew, Snicker-doodles, Devil's food cake, Mixed berry shortcake, Coconut cake, Tropical pineapple cake, Banana nut bread, Jam filled thumbprint cookies, Banana pudding, mini cherry tarts and more.
My cooking tragedies
Chocolate truffles, Salmon, regular tarts, Hot & sour soup, scones, stuffed mushrooms, Oatmeal cookies, Indian food, German food and Sausage & cabbage soup.
