Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2013
My sister wanted me to make chocolate cookies, and this recipe seemed promising. The only change I made was half white sugar and half brown sugar. The cookies were just so good, and I'm not one for chocolate cookies. It was like a cross between a brownie and chocolate cake! Yummy!

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2012
I liked these brownies enough to make them repeatedly. I give it a 4, though, because of two things. 1. There's sort of a vegetable taste that usually isn't in a brownie. It's very easy to overlook because the brownie tastes so good. But it's some taste not normally in a brownie. 2. I like fudgy brownies better. This wasn't exactly cakey, but we did have to eat it with a fork. And no, I did not add eggs. Maybe I'll underbake it next time.

Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
PERFECT. I wouldn't change anything. I didn't have a grill at the time, though, so I used a George Foreman grill for 7 minutes. TO DIE FOR. And you can feel good about yourself! Nothing bad in this burger.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
I love the fact that I finally got some greens down. I'm not a big fan of greens. I'm not giving 5 stars because...it was really bitter. I'll have to find a way around that. And though I cut the amount of salt in half, it still was unbearably salty. I'll cut that down even more next time...because there WILL be a next time!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
I personally used fat free cream cheese and light ranch. Still came out good (I had to mix the cream cheese a little harder though so the chunks would smooth out). I also used two boneless chicken breasts and boiled them for 20 minutes. Then, I shredded them. It made me feel better that they were fresh and not canned. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of one factor: It's too salty! If I could find a way of making it way less salty, it would be perfect.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
To tell the truth, I wasn't too impressed with this recipe. Maybe it's because half of it was from a box. I know that box taste by heart. The dough is a nice surprise for people who aren't expecting it; however, I think it would fare better with a homemade cake batter. I'm giving it a 3 and not lower because there also wasn't anything wrong with this recipe...so as long as you don't bake the dough as if they were regular cookies! :D I tried that; it didn't have a very good texture. I'll try to find a homemade [cup]cake recipe that matches with cookie dough.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
Oh, man. While I was mixing the dough, I thought, "this dough is so tough." I did add three more tablespoons more and used a little less flour. I still worried while I was shaping the pretzels that the finished product would be a flop; the dough really was tough. But! When it came out of the oven, all my fears were put to rest. AMAZING. That's all I have to say. Soft and tasty. A definite do-again. And I might even wrap a hot dog in it! P.S. My baking soda bath probably wasn't too even because my pretzels didn't brown evenly. But that's the most minor detail, ever. Still a 5.
