Roasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
I made this garlic bread for a dinner party. I had never roasted garlic before so I did not know how it changed the flavor of garlic when roasted. I also was not sure everyone at the party would love garlic as much as I do so I cut back a bit. Everyone LOVED it and kept telling me how great it was. I made two loafs not knowing how many people would be at the dinner party and soon got scared I made to much when I saw how few people were there...but they finished it all. It has been requested to the next dinner party...this time I am making at least 3 loafs and using the total amount of garlic called for...I will ALWAYS make garlic bread this way from now on.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I have now made this (upon request) three times. the first two times we made it with ham sandwich meat since I could not find diced ham at the store. It was a huge hit! The third time I made it I was actually able to find diced ham at Food For Less. It was agreed that it ended up being to much ham at once. Next time we will use ham sandwich meat again. I will however try to make this next time I make a ham and use the leftovers. Other then changing the diced ham to sliced ham I did every thing as the recipe says and it was amazing. Also so easy by the second time I made it I didn't even need to pull up the recipe!

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
SUPER EASY! I made it for the gf and her roommates and everyone loved it. I used the Italian seasoned diced tomatoes to save a step. I would make this again for sure.

Quick & Easy. I made it along with a baked mac-n-cheese. There was none left for anyone to take in their lunch the next day

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
I made this for dinner last night. I added some minced garlic to the onions and celery, added a few slices of Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon (which is fully cooked so I just cut it up and tossed it in right from the package), some salt and pepper, a can of creamed corn (on top of the whole kernel corn required), an extra cup or so of potatoes, and cheddar cheese instead (since thats what I had at the house). 1. One roommate saw the creamed corn and refused to eat it because she does not like creamed corn 2. Roommate above tried a bite after everyone ate since we all agreed it tasted more like cream of potato soup with corn in it and not like cream corn (which she says she hates) and she loved the soup 3. I was a little worried because of the green chiles as my girlfriend is very sensitive to spice...it was perfect for even her so don't be scared of them. 3. Everyone loved it and packed it for their lunches today (even the roommate who would not eat it last night) 4. Its just as good if not better reheated the next day. I served it with "Roasted Garlic Bread" which was also a winner!

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
I love this. Its now always requested at my house. Now the changes I made: I don't not use any salt, I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned, and since I used vegetable broth instead of beef bouillon. And I didn't pound out my pork chops. I have made it with thick ones and thin ones, I just recomend you use boneless. I cook mine just enough to get the outside brown and crispy and then toss them in my oven's warmer. Remember meat continues to cook even once out of the pan or off the grill The fact that Sour Cream comes in 8oz containers works out perfect because once I make this its asked for again within a week max.
