About this Cook
I love to bake and try out new recipes. I always like to try and change it up a bit, either by adding more sauce or more meat. sometimes I find that there's a spice that makes the other ingredients pop out more. I cook everything in my house and have alot of picky eaters, a diabetic and they're all against healthy food so I try to find things that kind of sneak in the good stuff or that are healthy and just appear to be something that you shouldn't eat. I'm also looking forward to making more kid friendly meals like that when my sisters kid is old enough to enjoy them.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken mexicala, shepherds pie (my grandmas recipe), My own triple threat brownies, My strawberry chocolate and mint cake, cheesy ham and potatoe soup(with a few changes), beer roast, that's all i can think of now but i'm sure that i'll have more later, i'm always looking for new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't have any, I taught myself to cook so I never learned any family secrets or anything, just my own.
My cooking triumphs
Making my own cake that is so good that my church actually ordered 15 and had them all sold at a bake sale within just an hour along with my triple threat brownies, it was probably one of the best days of my life there, to watch everyone enjoy my creation and i never thought for a moment that they'd be sold out in that sale, only to have them all gone in an hour. There's no better feeling then knowing that people love what I made.
My cooking tragedies
I used to burn water, I couldn't even make mac and cheese, there was a time when i even burnt microwave dinners, i couldn't even fry meat for burritos, it would either burn or i woudln't cook it all the way thru. the first time i baked it came out as charcoal and i ended up using salt instead of sugar.

Chex(R) Muddy Buddies(R)
I liked this but I had problems, my chocolate seized up and I had to add more butter, tried to follow the recipe exactly but in the end I ended up with clumps of chocolate on some pieces, pieces stuck together and some that only got the powdered sugar coating because I couldn't get the chocolate to spread. even with that it was still a big hit, one of the few things that my mom ate without complaint and even my picky sister ate some and didn't complain, a feat for sure. I'll be trying this recipe again at some point and would appreciate any tips that could help in future endeavors from those that have succeeded in this recipe.

Triple Fudge Brownies
I've been making this for years, but a big difference, i use dark chocolate fudge brownie mix, it makes them come out better and I only use one 12 ounce package of nestle semi sweet chocolate chips and I've found that adding the chocolate chips after baking it for 20 minutes keeps the chips from melting and burning on the bottom, a problem that i had alot. i also bake them for 40 minutes in a glass pan, the type of pan makes a big difference.
