THis is the best chocolate dessert I have ever made - bar none. I made it this morning for fathers day as my husband loves chocolate pie. it was simple and came out perfectly. I made it exactly as written (used bakers sugar as it creams better than regular granulated), and used a premade 'oreo' crust. The amount it made might have been a little bit shy, but i wish i had a smaller crust - not more filling. next time I will use a small springform pan and make my own chocolate crust. I dont like chocloate pie myself, but I loved this pie. I cannot say enough about it...cut small slices though - it is super rich!!!!

nice flavor - I cut the sugar (used 2c) as i could not find any unsweetened coconut. in a do-over I might increase that abit. I think this would be super as a shortcake base. I also liked the lime glaze idea - it does need a little punching up with whatever you choose.

Super yummy!!! My husband made this last night for supper and I am going to have to ask him to NOT make it again! I ate almost the whole dish it was SOOOO good. Seriously though it was easy enough for a novice to make and could be altered iun so many ways, but is perfect as it is. Thanks for this great recipe!
