Microwave Peanut Brittle - 1100 Watt Microwave

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
Very simple and easy - just be sure to keep an eye on the mixture. I made these at a friend's house this year and had to dump the first batch because her microwave is higer wattage than mine and it burned.

Creamy Almond Candy

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
This is a good base recipe, but I made mine with peppermint extract and crushed candy canes instead of almond extract/almonds. It didn't harden up as much as I would have liked, so next time I think I'll cut back a little on the sweetened condensed milk.

Grandpa's Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
Awesome! As another review said, I used my Kitchenaid Mixer for 15 minutes and it came out great! I can't imagine having to do it by hand, because it got awfully thick around the 5 minute mark...

Cherry Mash Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I couldn't find cherry chips, so I used butterscotch chips as suggested. They were easy to make, but soooooooo sweet. Not my favorite, but my friends loved them.

I love it, but it's a little too sweet and strong flavored for my husband and kids.

Great Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2003
Way too soupy for my husband's and my tastes. Maybe would have been better with fresh chicken instead of canned, but I still can't see how it wouldn't have been really soupy. The combination of ingrediants was good, but I'll go back to adding as I go to get the right texture.

Kids-Only Pepperoni Pizza Bagels

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2003
Excellent recipe idea! Make sure not to let your bagels get older than a day or two - I didn't realize this since I don't eat bagels on a regular basis. Still managed to salvage the finished product, though. Yummy!

Easy Creamy Peppercorn Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
My husband really liked this, but it was a bit heavy for me. I think I'll try the 98% fat free soup next time. Pretty good, though!

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
This is the best recipe EVER, but I reserve it for special occasions only. Also, I started adding about 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, which is great! Tastes like chicken alfredo with sundried tomatoes in it!

Hobo's Delight

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
Pretty good, but be sure to add seasonings or it will turn out a little bland. I might try it with some onion soup mix next time.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
Awesome, but definitely not for the dieter in me! I will save this one for company to save my waistline! I don't think there's really any way to lighten it up and preserve the flavor. It's great just as it is!

Death By Chocolate III

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2003
The flavor on this was good, but I put it together in advance and the toffee bars melted. : ( Next time I would do it immediately before the gathering so the toffee will still be crunchy!

These turned out a bit dry when I made them, but I may not have measured the ingredients carefully enough. I will try them again next holiday season.
