Ron's Bread Machine White

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
I made this in my bread machine on basic setting. Dough was firmer than any dough I've seen and I've seen a lot of dough. The bread was a stale texture so I used it in a french toast casserole recipe which made the bread VERY useful. I would not use this for sandwich bread but I will use it when I have a recipe for stale bread and no other stale bread is around.

Golden Cheese Yeast Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Made this bread in my bread maker. Assembled wet ingredients first with dry on top to ensure proper mixing. AMAZING white bread! The cheese really doesn't stand out when using 2 cups so I will add more next time.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Very yummy casserole! My family of 4 loved it but we only ate half of the casserole. We refrigerated the left-overs and added one egg with 1/4 cup milk mixture on top the next morning. It turned out just as wonderful as the first time we ate it!

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Very good and pretty quick to whip up. I made this in my bread maker and it turned out really moist with a 1/2 cup more eggnog in the mix. My family really loves it but it is so very sweet they would only take one piece of it a day.

Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
We made these cookies for Santa this year! I was at work Christmas Eve so my husband and children (2 and 3 year old) help him whip it up. He is not the best at following directions and he said it was really easy to follow. I took a bite (since Santa is a great friend of mine he shared some) and couldn't believe how wonderful a cookie my husband whipped up! I'm sure it didn't hurt to have the help of my kids to make it that made it great! Will definitely keep this in my recipe book!

Baklava

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
I was raised on Baklava but never made it myself. Since its one of my favorite sweets, I decided to make my own birthday cake this year. This recipe was wonderful! I followed the suggestions to make 1 1/2 of the sauce and it was the perfect amount. The only thing I would do differently is use local honey because the flavor is more rich. The only reason I used store bought is because I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old that will eat anything sweet and local honeys are not filtered like store brands.

Crispy Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
Very Yummy. Quick and Easy. Cooks in the time as told and comes out perfect. I would set the oven to broil the tops next time so it will stay really crunchy. We had ours with Mac n cheese and everyone loved it. It only took 30 min for everything to be ready and cooled for our toddlers liking.

Southern Made Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I was raised on this recipe so of course I love it. Cheese balls at the grocery stores don't taste this good. If you add the seasonings together before adding the cream cheese you will notice there is a key ingredient missing in this recipe. My family added accent to theirs to round off the taste but now knowing what we know about avoiding MSG, I use salt and it taste perfect. For this recipe add 1 tsp. Trust me it will make a good thing, GREATER.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Absolutely WONDERFUL! One of the best tasting pancakes we have ever had. Fluffy and full of flavor. The ONE NEGATIVE would be the servings. I cut the recipe in half so that we could have 6 pancakes... wrong! Turned out to be 6 servings of 4? lets put it this way, we ate 6 in our family of 4 and the bowl seems to be holding 2 more days of batter. Cut it down to 1-2 servings for a family of four.

Basil Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
Only had 15 shrimp and mixed the marinade exactly as recipe offers... AMAZING. The high rated reviews stating there is too much mustard should use honey Dijon mustard. I can't say I have ever had this great of a marinade for seafood before! Will definitely use again and will try on chicken and fish. It was an absolute pleasure to review this recipe because I ran to the computer as soon as my plate emptied!

Homemade Wonton Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
I did not care for this recipe. Sesame oil was a bad thought on this recipe. We were all so excited to make this being wonton soup is my family's favorite soup. The flavors were all wrong. This recipe winds up costing more that buying it from your local restaurant. I was extremely disappointed and we will not be modifying this recipe or making it again.

Spaghetti Olio

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
I added a pick sweet steamer bag to this recipe (chicken with summer vegetables). It was wonderful! I added some extra virgin olive oil to the butter to add to its flavor. Will absolutely make again!

Sausage Gravy III

Very great homemade version. I served it with homemade soda drop biscuits and my family couldn't have enough! I cut the recipe in half and used butter instead of margerine. Will make again.

Chai Latte

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
I went to the store for goat's milk as soon as I saw this recipe. This was a VERY great latte! The store I went to had cardamom for 9 dollars! This was the first time I had ever even seen a recipe with cardamom so I skipped it and went for cinnamon instead. I will have no problem finishing off the goats milk because I will be drinking this again and again. The goats milk gives this drink richer flavor and taste just like a chai latte from Starbucks!

Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
Amazing! We used four extra thick slices of bacon and added Raisin Bran instead of cornflakes and raisins. They turned out to be very good cookies. One batch is breakfast 3 times for my family of four. We will be making this again really soon!

Very good. Fluffy in texture. I'm use to crispy waffles. I think I will just cook them longer to accommodate for that.

Zucchini Raspberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
Very great flavor. Zucchini was undetectable. I used cream cheese frosting on top and boy was that a great thing to add! I like the idea of a healthier cupcake. I gave these to my Mom and Mom-in-law for Mother's Day.
