Peanut Butter Mousse Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
I could not buy a cookie crust at the nearby grocery store so i used graham cracker crust instead. True to the author's notes, 'Very sweet but super yummy!' Try a slice with chocolate fudge syrup drizzled on top. This pie has great texture and I would definitely make it again.

Pig Candy Ice Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Made this recipe for a laugh but joke is on me. I found a great candied bacon recipe and maple ice cream. Next time I will finely chop my bacon because it is weird to have to chew your ice cream that much. Maybe chocolate would be a fun add next time. My husband will have a new favorite ice cream if he gets to try this because my kids might eat it all before he even comes home.

Sausage Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
I made this recipe on a dare. The smell this recipe gives off is volatile, raw meat goes into the mix with a huge amount of coffee, and the spices are so far off. I highly suggest never making this cake. Also, there is no recipe on the web for sausage ice cream however, there are recipes for bacon ice cream and mustard ice cream.

Grands!® Mini Pizzas

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
I love the idea of fast individual pizzas! We don't like pepperoni in my family so we topped ours with mushroom, Italian sausage, and bacon. It was a huge success in my family and we will definitely make these again. Next time we will use corn flour on our work surface so the pizzas don't stick to the surface.

Grands!® Chicken-Bacon Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2013
This is really good and a unique spin on quesadillas. Quick and easy. Had fun making them with my kids so I will definitely make these again. Next time I will reduce the amount of preserves and increase the amount of cheese.

Smoky Salmon Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I liked it but my husband kept calling it tuna dip because he didn't make it and it did taste more like tuna than salmon in this recipe.

Butterscotch Haystacks

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I didn't know if I would like the texture of the marshmallows whole so I melted them also and it was ok in flavor but nothing special.

Sweet and Salty Toll House® Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I would love these if I didn't feel so guilty eating them! For presentation the dough should be separated out and then chilled but if your like me your making cookies because you want cookies not because you want them to look nice. I skipped refrigerating anything and baked. They look alright but not impressive.

Candy-Bar Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
This recipe is great just how it is made. We used Butterfingers and it was VERY good. Consistency was perfect for fudge. Just a tip if you don't have a candy thermometer: Take a small bowl and fill with cold water. Drop tiny bits of the fudgey liquid into the bowl. When it balls up and stays together it is done cooking. If it becomes brittle and breaks apart it is overdone. If it just stays the same consistency, it is NOT done and needs to be cooked longer.

Vida's Famous Buttermilk Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
Buttermilk pie is a great way to get rid of buttermilk that is about to expire. This recipe suggests using 4 times as much sugar as buttermilk which I just don't understand. I brought the buttermilk up to 1 cup and the sugar down to 1 cup. The cooking time had to be increased slightly but the result was perfect. This is one of the best buttermilk pies I have ever had. Next time I will make the same changes but put in 1 1/4 cup sugar just to add a little more sweetness. Thank you for the recipe!

Moist and Savory Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
I wanted to follow this recipe 100% but I really dislike celery so I substituted mushrooms instead. My husband then butts in, "You should put some sausage it that!" Well, I am glad I listened because it was my favorite yet!
