Doggie Biscuits I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Combining the suggestions of several reviewers, add some fresh minced garlic (known to repel fleas) and use meat greese (adds shine and reduce shedding to your dog's coat). I highly suggest substituting broth for water to increase flavor. Reduce the broth/water to 1/2c, cook for 15-20 minutes. Reducing the water makes the dough easier to handle and quicker cook time in the oven. My dog absolutely loves these and she is really picky. Handed these out for Christmas because all my family members have dogs too. Just tie a string around them in a bow!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
I love how easy and affordable these tasty treats are! Gave them as a Christmas present so I used holiday color semi-sweet chips which have red and green mixed in with the chocolate. Made them even more attractive and festive. I come from a family of foodies and all of them (including me!) never thought of saltines for a dessert. Thank you for the recipe!

Very moist and full of flavor. It was extremely easy to make. This recipe doesn't call for seasonings because your using leftovers. If you make without leftovers, season to taste.

Johnsonville Italian All Natural Ground Sausage Burger

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
This sandwich was really hard to eat and prepare. The taste is really great but needs to be served on special occasions only. Make sure to flatten your burgers when preparing or they will be too small for the slices of focaccia bread. If you were to make this more often, it might be better just to use a different type of bread.

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2013
The stuff mushrooms are amazing. I tried the other Johnsonville stuffed mushroom recipe and this one is by far the best. I would not direct you towards any other stuff mushroom recipe as this is superior.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2013
My whole family loved this exactly as prepared. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We finished this casserole in 3 meals. If this recipe came from a restaurant, let me know which one because we have been eating breakfast in the wrong place!

Classic Smoked Sausage Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2013
Oh wow! Butterball doesn't mess around when it comes to recipes. I loved it! Would definately suggest you try it. The only change I would suggest is a mix of cheddars in place of the sharp cheddar and reduce the velveeta to 2 cups instead of 3, and using 2 jars of Alfredo sauce instead of all the velveeta. The velveeta really covered those great complex cheese flavors. The corkscrew pasta was a wonderful touch!

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2013
I stopped eating potato chips and started eating edamame. Decided to try kale chips and used this recipe. Wow! Such a great snack food! Kids liked it too so I'm packing it as a lunch side. Thank you for the awesome recipe

Turkey Bacon Breakfast Burrito

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
This recipe is just okay. The flavors didn't add up very well but the Butterball turkey bacon was nice with the eggs. I love the idea of this as a wrap and the avocado paired well but the beans throw it off. Maybe just meat, cheese, egg, sour cream, and salsa? Also would go great with Mexican rice inside.

Maple-Balsamic Marinated Steak with Grilled Pear Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2013
My family loves beef and we eat it regularly. This was not a great recipe for us as is. We didn't really care for the salad, the grilled onions were nice, and the steak was sweet which is an oddity to us. We added Worcestershire sauce to the steak marinade on the second batch and our steaks came out savory. When you add about a tbsp you really round off the flavors of the steak. Definite winner recipe with said adjustment.

Loved the flavor. Very simple easy ice cream recipe. Be sure to mix before pouring into your ice cream maker or it will freeze on the sides.

HERDEZ® Roasted Pasilla Pepper Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2013
This chili was wonderful! Way to spicy for my kids so we added molasses to cut down on the heat. So very flavorful with a great consistency. We will enjoy this again!

HERDEZ® Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2013
Very tasty cornbread! This is my favorite out of the Herdez recipes I tried. My only issue was it was so moist it wouldn't hold together for photos. Lol
