Wavy Lasagna with Meat Sauce, Fresh Ricotta and Spinach

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2014
I used a jar and a half of sauce. Added 3/4 lb. Italian sausage to the Barilla meat sauce because other reviewers suggested adding more meat to the recipe. This is a wonderful lasagna recipe that I would highly suggest you to try. Wonderful balance of flavors and textures.

Elbows Mac and Cheese with Tuscan Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2014
What a wonderful way to incorporate the Barilla sauce with a classic favorite. The fontina cheese is a must for this recipe. The flavor combination with the cream, cheese, and tomato sauce is delectable to the last bite. I'd highly suggest giving this recipe a try. It's quick, tasty, a twist on a classic, and I think your whole family would thank you.

Grilled Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 30, 2014
Tasty but mine hadn't cooked long enough. Followed recipe exactly as stated and it was grainy. Remade recipe, extending cook time to 20 minutes and it was very tasty. Such a creative use for a shortcake shell!

Brown Bears

Reviewed: May 30, 2014
Made this twice so far. First, as directed using the butter and cinnamon as coating after it's done cooking. Second time, I coated it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture before cooking followed by the butter and cinnamon coating. Wow! It's like Monkey bread or a cinnamon roll to go! It's very pretty, cheap, and simple. I will be keeping this recipe to pass on as a camping breakfast tradition. It was so much fun to make! Thanks for this delicious recipe! If you want to make these at home because you are craving them but weather isn't permitting camping, follow the recipe but bake at temperature and time suggested on your biscuit can, rotating once half way through cook time.

Karen's Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
The dough is so difficult to work with. I couldn't use the cookie cutters on it and they were pretty bland to taste. I prefer the rolled sugar cookies on this site that contain Cream cheese. Those are really easy to work with cookie cutters.

Ashley and Whitney's Popcorn and Pretzel Sweet Snack Mix

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
This recipe has such a unique flavor! Cinnamon with cranberries and salted pretzels really wows your taste buds. I wouldn't suggest any substitutions but definitely make this for a big group and triple the recipe.

Amazing Muffin Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
Really great flavors and presentation. Do follow the directions and have some paper towels ready to remove some of the oil collected at the bottom of the cups. This would be a great take along recipe for family and church brunches. This really is just a casserole recipe made in a muffin tin. This recipe was extremely easy to prepare.

Substituted Sausage to enter into a 6-ingredient or less sausage as a beef substitute contest. I doubt I'll win but this recipe's flavor is a winner. Easy to make also!

Avocado Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2014
I made it as is, re-made it as suggested by other reviewers. Imagine bland guacamole mixed with bland Mac'n'cheese. Not worth it unless you change the type of cheese.

Cheesecake-Stuffed Strawberries

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2014
I didn't have graham crackers (couldn't get any either since we are currently snowed in) so I just dipped and drizzled Godiva milk chocolate on them, mixed filling in my food processor with the hulled part of strawberries thrown in too. I suggest serving with a side of whip cream.

Doggie Biscuits I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Combining the suggestions of several reviewers, add some fresh minced garlic (known to repel fleas) and use meat greese (adds shine and reduce shedding to your dog's coat). I highly suggest substituting broth for water to increase flavor. Reduce the broth/water to 1/2c, cook for 15-20 minutes. Reducing the water makes the dough easier to handle and quicker cook time in the oven. My dog absolutely loves these and she is really picky. Handed these out for Christmas because all my family members have dogs too. Just tie a string around them in a bow!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
I love how easy and affordable these tasty treats are! Gave them as a Christmas present so I used holiday color semi-sweet chips which have red and green mixed in with the chocolate. Made them even more attractive and festive. I come from a family of foodies and all of them (including me!) never thought of saltines for a dessert. Thank you for the recipe!

Johnsonville Italian All Natural Ground Sausage Burger

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
This sandwich was really hard to eat and prepare. The taste is really great but needs to be served on special occasions only. Make sure to flatten your burgers when preparing or they will be too small for the slices of focaccia bread. If you were to make this more often, it might be better just to use a different type of bread.

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

The stuff mushrooms are amazing. I tried the other Johnsonville stuffed mushroom recipe and this one is by far the best. I would not direct you towards any other stuff mushroom recipe as this is superior.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

My whole family loved this exactly as prepared. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We finished this casserole in 3 meals. If this recipe came from a restaurant, let me know which one because we have been eating breakfast in the wrong place!

Classic Smoked Sausage Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2013
Oh wow! Butterball doesn't mess around when it comes to recipes. I loved it! Would definately suggest you try it. The only change I would suggest is a mix of cheddars in place of the sharp cheddar and reduce the velveeta to 2 cups instead of 3, and using 2 jars of Alfredo sauce instead of all the velveeta. The velveeta really covered those great complex cheese flavors. The corkscrew pasta was a wonderful touch!

Turkey Bacon Breakfast Burrito

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
This recipe is just okay. The flavors didn't add up very well but the Butterball turkey bacon was nice with the eggs. I love the idea of this as a wrap and the avocado paired well but the beans throw it off. Maybe just meat, cheese, egg, sour cream, and salsa? Also would go great with Mexican rice inside.
