What did you do for Halloween?

Earlier this week, we took our kids to a Halloween store to desensitize them from the possibly scary things they may see while trick or treating. We slapped the motion activated creatures and touched all the scary masks to see they were just plastic. We put on the things that looked the most scary and gave each other hugs and named the masks. For example the psycho clown zombie mask would be 'Mr. Cuddles'. I'm just hoping it sticks because the trip went surprisingly well.

This past weekend I was going to throw a Halloween party but found that it was going to overlap my brother's party so we combine our parties at his house... what a great brother! For food I made Karo Caramel Corn, Karo Premium Pecan Pie, and Pillsbury Sausage Snack Wraps. My brother made Grandma's Apple Pie Moonshine and I attempted a Pina Goulada with Zombie eyeball garnish from another site. His drinks came out perfect and my eyeball garnishes looked beautiful but sunk to the bottom of the glass. That set aside, it tasted really good and looked great without the garnish.

With combining the parties, we wanted to keep the decorations minimal so we pulled down his projector screen and showed The Rocky Horror Picture Show which took up a whole side of the room. Made the party room look awesome and has such an easy clean-up! For fun, we played Cards Against Humanity which is a card game just like Apples to Apples but it has vulgarity to it making it an Adult only game. The party was a great success and easy clean-up... hehehehe.

What did you and your family do for Halloween?

Cheers!

Sounds like you had a nice time. I like the game Apples to Apples. I have not heard of Cards Against Humanity. I like how you made it fun for the adults. I would enjoy that. Happy Halloween : )
