Stirring Things Up!

I have been obsessed with cooking ever since I could remember. I stayed with my Grandmother practically every weekend. I never wanted to come home because Granny was always cooking something good and I wanted to learn to do it myself. Boy am I glad I did because I'm here now at an intermediate cooking level on a site that allows me to share and indulge in new recipes with others.

I found back in December while looking for a recipe for a big chewy chocolate chip cookie and I fell in love.

After a few months, three to be exact, I decided I wanted the perks of being a Supporting Member. I payed for my two year subscription and started receiving emails from my husband about new recipes in need to try while he was at work. Those emails started multiplying like a 5th grade teacher and now my husband makes a smoothie for every day of the week! Thank you!! I can finally take a break on making breakfast every morning.

This website has been stirring things up in my family in a great way. My two three year old girls (9 months apart in age) can tell you what ingredients you need to make a cake or cookies. My husbands favorite thing to do (and my favorite things to eat) is grill on our propane grill or over a camp fire which now we've weeded out the 'well that could have turned out well if you had just..' moments thanks to all the thorough recipes and fantastic reviews.

As for me, I have been showing off my cooking skills to my Mother-in-Law which definitely has its rewards (you know what I am talking about if you have a Mother-in-Law as well)! She even asked me to make a cake again on her birthday because that was the best one she had ever had and it comes from a box!! How sneaky!

My biggest goal in the kitchen is to make food without using the microwave unless I am in a hurry. Because if it turns out bad or just OK then I know my cutting of corners has nothing to do with it. I have never made a recipe without reading several reviews. There is no way my food would be this good if you didn't post your reviews. THANK YOU PEOPLE!

As for the perks of a Supporting member. I've been raiding my pantries, listing all my ingredients in my cupboards to create weekly menus based around my dusty canned goods and soon to expire tuna packets. Talk about saving money and making room in the kitchen! I didn't even know that a meringue chocolate chip cookie could be so good from so little ingredients and cost less than a dollar for a whole dozen!

Boy, Grandma would be addicted to this website! I know I sure am! I hope you try the recipes I shared and like them as much as we did. We will definitely try anything you suggest to us!

Thanks for reading!

It is a great site, isn't it?? I love the reviews, too. In fact, I never make a recipe before I have read through a great many of the reviews. When I pick up a "cookbook" now....... I wonder, what would someone who already made this tell me?? It has really helped me, too! AND, the info I have learned from people on Recipe Buzz here, is absolutely astounding!!
