Breaded Hamburgers

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
These were delicious! They turned out so juicy and with a really great onion flavor from the baking. The onions from the bottom of the pan make a great topping for them, too. I didn't change anything and I don't think I ever would. This one is great as is!

Cheryl's Spinach Cheesy Pasta Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
All I can is that my husband who HATES spinach ate this dish and even went back for seconds! The only thing I changed was the sauce. i used a package of basil tomato seasoning, a jar of diced tomatoes and a small one of tomato paste. So the sauce had a slightly different consistancy, but it was still good.

Okra, Chicken and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
I wasn't sure what to expect when I made this, partly because I had never had okra before in my life. it turned out really good. The chicken, espcially, was nice and tender. The only reason I rated it 4 instead of 5 was because I had to substitute cayenne for the paprika, so I can't gauge how it was supposed to taste. The cayenne was still good, just a bit on the spicier side. I also added some other frozen veggies that I had, along with some canned corn, which I think added some nice texture. One thing I will say is if I make it again, I won't use white rice instead of brown. Some it it was still undercooked when it came out of the oven.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
Do NOT put the chicken in still frozen. The sauce ends up being really watery as a result. That being said, the combination of flavors is really good. I was skeptical about mixing italian dressing with bbq sauce and was pleasantly surprised.

Roasted New Red Potatoes

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
This is a great, basic side dish that allows for a lot of personalization. I personally like to add either ranch dressing mix, or some cajun seasoning and garlic powder.

Mound Bars

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
These are delicious, but the difficulty in making dropped the rating a bit. I could barely make the graham cracker mix spread far enough for a 9x13, the same went for the chocolate. If I were to make these again, I'd either do a 8x8 pan and half the coconut mixture... or I'd double the graham cracker crust and the chocolate.

BLT

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
I like to give it a kick with some of the flavored mayos available now, like the dijon horseradish, or chipolte for my husband. Also if you're watching what you eat, it's actually pretty good on calories for a nice light lunch that still satisfies.

Whiskey Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Oh my god, this marinade was awesome! I can't think of a single thing i'd change. The whiskey flavor was subtle but tasty. Mixed it with some ground beef and formed it into patties for hamburgers. Than while they were cooking, I used a pastry brush to add a little bit more flavor. DELICIOUS!

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
First off... I have to agree with the other reviewers. AMAZING. I will definitely be making this one again. Most of the reviews said that 1 egg yolk wasn't enough for four breasts, and I'd probably agree. But since I was making it for just my husband and I, I halved the rest of the recipe and the one egg was plenty.

Mushroom Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This is a really good basic meatloaf. I switched out the bread crumbs for oatmeal (only because that's how I grew up with it being made). I also added a few healthy dashes of worchestershire for some added flavor.
