About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and am actually really good at it! I have been playing around with recipes for awhile now and seem impress people with my cooking. Though I feel it is kinda cheating when your following recipes and not coming up with your own from scratch. :)
My cooking tragedies
When I was first learning to cook I didn't rinse out a pan well enough and proceeded to cook up some chicken...needless to say my boyfriend at the time dubbed my chicken as "soapy chicken". Lol. :D

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna
This was seriously a restaurant quality meal. I was a little nervous but EVERYONE loved it! Even went back for thirds! This is going in my keeper box. I followed the directions exactly with the only change being that I used 2 cloves of garlic instead of 1. It was perfect!

Cheese Cake Cups
These were really good. Only I took the advice of others and crushed up the vanilla wafers, added some melted butter and pressed the cookie mixture into the bottom of each cup. Was much better than just placing a cookie in bottom of cup, which made it have way to much crust in my opinion. Next time I will experiment with different toppings and marbling my cheese cakes. But very good!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches
I did everything just as the recipe called for it. The house smelled wonderful! And just before it was ready I sliced up some mushrooms, onions, and peppers and threw them in a skillet until they were cooked through and limp. Meanwhile I stuck our Hoagie rolls in the oven at 300 degrees wrapped in foil to let them soften. Once rolls were done, I placed shredded meat on a cookie sheet topped with pepper mixture and layed provolone slices over it and broiled til cheese melted. Put mayo on hoagies and put meat with goodies on the rolls and it was WONDERFUL! Sister in law just had a baby and took over some for her and hubby too! Loved it!
