Fusion Hummus

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
I made this today for lunch. I thought it was realy good. My hubby thought it was to strong of flavor after a while. But, It was a nice twist on hummus. My only suggestion is if your not big on balsamic vinegar (like my hubby) I would add tablesoops to taste.....4 tablesoops= 1/4 cup.. so start with 2 tablesoops of balsimc vinegar, taste then add more if you want. You can always add water if its to thick. But we will be making this again!

Granny's Corn Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
I never thought tortillas would be this easy! i read lots of reviews before attempting this and i watched you-tube. But i have to say the end product is very good. I didnt put 1 1/2 cup of corn meal into then.. i did 1 cup and then 1 1/2 all purpose flour after i got it mixed well i added 1/4 cup cornmeal and tryed working it in. From there i had a warm damp cloth i layed in bowl and broke the bow down into 12 balls. Then i took my counter top and dusted it with all purpose flour and dumped the remining cornmeal onto the flour counter top. Then took each ball one at time rolling it better round, patting it flat the used my rolling pin to roll them out. you have to turn your tortilla after each time you roll. When cooking its easy to over cook them, just look for the little bubbles on each side, dont wait tell there turly goden.

Brown Sugar Cut-Out Cookies and Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
I Love Love the iceing recipe. Thats why i gave it 4 stars. Its super easy to make and yummy. As for the cookie recipe, i would have only gave it a 2.5. I had to add the vanilla and a egg like recommened, and still had to add etra 1 and 1/4 cups of milk to get it to turn from a powder into a dough. Then i had to use lots of flour on th counter top to stop the sticking. If you have no experence baking, i wouldn't recomend this recipe. But on the flip side after i got the dough to work my 3 year old LOVED helping mom make cookie cut outs! We will keep the recipe around. But its not my favorit!

Potato Pancakes II

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
The great thing about potato pancakes is you can add lots of different flavors. Cheese, green onions, onions, beef hash, ect. This is a great simple recipe that you can work with to add and make them the way you want. I added onions and some italian seasoning. About the cooking time. I looked up im my Betty crocker book. They recommed 10mins. Dont try fliping them or playing with them tell least after 5 mins. If you do they will fall apart. My total cook time was 8 mins on each side on a med heat. Also use cold mash potates. They help keep the form. I normaly use left overs. Then top off with a dap of sour cream. Yummy! Totally going to make them again with cheese.
