Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
OMG !!! These are soo freakin' good! I was making these for my dfaughter before she returned from work. What can I say, I left her a couple! Made no changes to the recipe, except a smaller portion/batch (my mistake). These are definately a homerun and will be added to my recipe box.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Made these today, they were very good. I'm having hard time leaving a few for my kids. Didnt change anythything. Used center cut bacon, and tried putting the brown sugar in a bag to coat the bacon. Worked OK but was kinda messy.

Slow Cooked Apple Brown Betty

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Turned out very good. Changed it up a bit, only added 8 pieces of bread, added 2 graham crackers (crumbled) and some chopped walnuts to the top. I think I'll add a bit more walnuts next time and mix it in with the other "stuff". Very good with vanilla ice cream!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
Loved this receipe, have to admit I'm not big on canned food to make meals but, this served such a good purpose, it allowed me to rotate and use some of our older cans. I added a bit of Queso cheese, used both diced can of tomatoes and sliced stewed tomatoes. I increased the servings, added some brown rice, black beans, bag of corn, fresh cilantro, basil. I like my soups hearty and I read a few reviews that stated the recipe was a bit watery (not for me). I added a total of 3 lbs of chicken, 1 large breast was cut extremely small which helped to thicken the soup. Just used store bought tortilla chips due to time contraints, but I'm confident it would taste a bit better if you take the extra 10 min to make some. Will make again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2015
Loved the recipe, BUT had to leave out the beer, replaced with chicken broth due to time constraints and stuff on hand. Added additional onions, and Laredo chili. Turned out much better then expected. Was in a hurry to cook 9 lbs of chicken breasts and this was one of the recipes I chose. Will definitely be making it again and hope to have time to read some reviews, to see what others are suggesting. Thx!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2015
I made this the other night as I had 9 lbs of chicken breasts that needed to be cooked. This was one of the recipes I used and I loved it. Yes, a bit dry if made as described. I was in a hurry and didn't read any reviews first (usually forget anyway). Kinda just through the ingredients together and I have to say this turned out fantastic. Next time I will season the chicken first, add even more of the sauce then I did (made extra anyway). This is a Keeper!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This was a great dish, i didnt mind have it the next night and even took it the next day for lunch. Some of the changes I made: added peas as a sprinkled layer on top of the carrots, increased the beef by almost twice the recommended amount. And yes we like cheese so we added even more. Didnt measure the added, I just winged it. Next time I'm sure it will be even better!
