Beth's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2002
This is a great recipe. For some reason my chocolate chip cookies never are any good. These were delicious!! They were thick, not thin like tollhouse. I added M&M's instead of the chocolate chips and took them to my daugther's Valentine party. I was even asked for the recipe.

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
Can't get much easier than this and it tastes great too! I followed the recipe exactly except for using frozen tilapia. Just popped the frozen tilapia and frozen veggies in the oven. Had to add about 10 minutes cooking time. It worked out well with the frozen veggies because they were done at the same time. It also looked very pretty and I liked that it was healthy.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
Delicious!! I couldn't find sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil so I bought them, poured olive oil over them, and let them sit overnight. It was so good!! I toasted the bread and and let my guests dip their own tomato mixture on top themselves, served cold....like Olive Garden's. Excellent.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
Awesome! Just awesome! I was hesitate to try a macaroon thinking they would come out too dry. Not the case! These are so yummy; just like popping a small piece of coconut cream pie into your mouth. I used a small cookie scoop and it made 55 cookies. Baked them for 12 minutes. While I loved eating them straight from the oven, they are still fresh and chewy 2 days later.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2005
This was delicious!! The only problem I had was that all the company ate all MY meat and I didn't have any left for the next day. Seriously, I made twice what I needed and people would come back for seconds and thirds for just the meat. We had these as fajitas. Try it, you will like it.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
Made this for lunch. I followed the recipe exactly. This is SO awesome. I'm still salivating over this chicken salad. My daughter ended up picking the craisins out because she thought it was too sweet. The rest of us thought it was delicious. Wouldn't hesitate serving it to guests.

Dip For The Stars

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
I got rave reviews on this dip. It was very, very good and looked pretty as well. I would not make it again though because of the expense. It cost right at $20 to make. It does make a lot of dip. You could easily cut it in half and have plenty.

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
Very good cheesecake. The only thing I did diffently was use chopped pecans instead of finely chopped pecans for the crust because I couldn't find them. The crust was perfect, not hard like some of the other reviewers mentioned. Also, I accidently used 1/2 cup chopped pecans on top instead of 1/4 cup. It turned out great. Thanks for the recipe.

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2002
Terrific tasting brisket and very tender. After slicing, I tasted the brisket and it was delicious. I kept a few slices out for my daughter who doesn't like BBQ and unfortunatly put the BBQ on the rest. My problem was that I bought a new kind of BBQ sauce (Jack Daniels)and it was terrible. Will be making again with my standard BBQ sauce.

Chocolate Pretzels

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2005
These are very good and easy. I couldn't find the round pretzels so I used the tiny twists, placed the kiss on top and heated in the oven. Then I pressed a M&M into each hole of the pretzel, making 3 M&M's per pretzel. They looked really cute. I used plain Hershey kisses, and hugs. The hugs melted a lot faster than the kisses, but they were both great. Thanks for the quick and easy recipe.

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
I really liked this recipe. I will try it again and instead of baking it, will serve it immediately upon mixing the macaroni with the cheese mixture.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
All my guests raved over these. I will make these again and again. Very easy. I cut mine into strips to serve more people. Also, placed crumb mixture in a ziplock and shook the chicken to coat it. Worked great.

Cherry Chocolate Nut Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
Yummy. Made them just like the recipe states, except had to use milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. It's a nice fluffy cookie. The cherry flavor isn't overpowering either. The hardest part is chopping the cherries. My food chopper pulverized them, so I had to resort to a knife. I'll make them again.

Easy Minute Steaks

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2004
I've made this many times now. I love the ease! I rated this 5* before just like it is, but now I only make it with adding a can of cream of mushroom soup with the French onion. Delicious. I also wanted to say that I made it in the crock pot and cooked it for 6 hours and it was even better. The meat was so tender! Try putting in on before work for an easy dinner.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2002
This was a very good, quick soup. I had all of the ingredients in my pantry and whipped it up in no time. My husband preferred it without the chips and added cheddar cheese on top. I did accidentally forget to drain the corn and the rotel, but it was still delicious. I will remember next time though.

Apple Butter Spice Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2002
Very moist, delicious cake. Would make a good breakfast cake. I made mine in a bundt pan and layered with 1/2 crumb mixture, 1/2 batter, crumb, batter. Scrumptious!! I also made the 'All Day Apple Butter' recipe from this site and used it in this recipe.

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2002
I halved the recipe to see it I would like it. It was great. My crock pot was almost full with half of the recipe. I could not have made a full recipe. I cut the sugar down by half as others had suggested. Next time I'm going to try putting it on right before bed and letting it cook overnight. I used Jonathan apples. I saw on another site that said Jonathan, Golden Delicious, and Macintosh apples were good choices for apple butter.

Baked Ziti I

Very good recipe. Forgot the mozzarella cheese and added it to the top. Next time I'll layer it right. Much easier than lasagna.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
This soup was terrific! My husband thought it was the best soup he has ever tasted. The only thing I did differently was cook the soup the night before leaving the tortellini out and heated it up in the crock pot the next day. I cooked the tortellini seperatly and added it to the soup before serving. Worked perfectly. I didn't really care for the soup the following day after the tortellini had been added mainly because they had swollen to about twice their size. It was the look of it rather than the taste.
