Spinach Artichoke Feta Ball

Reviewed: May 4, 2014
I agree with reviewers that said it lacked flavor regardless of what you added. I heated mine up eventually, but it was still mediocre.

RITZ White Pizza Meatball Dip, created by Lombardi's Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2014
I liked this, no one else in my family really did. I would try again with a party of ladies. This would be a hit.

Bacon Crackers

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2014
I made this according to the directions and I really liked them. What was initially ok became addictive. I would def try the advice to use longer crackers that fit better. As is they didn't look impressive. Or actually next time I would try and wrap it around like the bowtie reviews. Nice taste.

Alabama Fire Crackers

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
This was an interesting recipe that I'm not sure that I'd make again. Drowning crackers in oil isn't my idea of a quality recipe. Even though my guests enjoyed it, It ended up seeming too weird and greasy to me.

Fig-Proscuitto Crostini

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
I thought that something was off on this recipe, despite having wonderful components. I would try again and not broil the prosciutto but add it after somehow. It gets hard and salty and difficult to eat.

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
This was a good recipe! My son loved this soup - he is a teenager. I added jalapenos at the end as garnish. He even took it in to school for his German club party and the kids really liked it.

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
This was very good. I also halved the sprouts before boiling and didn't boil them too long at all because I don't like them real soft. Very nice. And don't skip the butter, that's key!

Polish Pickles

These are so good. Period. Used Claussens and also dried off any moisture on the beef for easier spreading. Addicting.

Easy Broccoli Quinoa Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
Sorry but this wasn't too good. It did seem very bland to me and lacking broccoli flavor also. Strange consistency - more like a side dish. There are many great uses for quinoa but this is not one of them.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
Yeah, this cake lives up to its rating - it had excellent flavor and texture - 2 things that seem a little elusive in most chocolate cakes. A great cake - I'm ending my quest for a perfect chocolate cake with this one. Thanks!

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
I gave this 3 stars because I changed the amounts. It gets 4 stars because it is the recipe on here that has the best starting point. I use only broccoli, red onion, shredded cheese, bacon (preferably pre-cooked bits because they are easier and somewhat healthier/less greasy) and sugar, mayo, and vinegar. I reduce the sugar to a scant Tablespoon, and reduce the vinegar to 1 T. We like ours a little mayonaise-ey and less sweet. I like sunflower seeds but seldom have them on hand, plus my husband would prefer this without them. Raisins I can live without in any food. Thank you Alyson for helping me get the broccoli salad that I love!

Pheasant Nuggets

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
This was great, my family (and myself) loved it! It was our first foray into pheasant, and it was a success. I used heavy cream because I had it, and Chicken in a Bisket crackers and panko instead of the butter crackers anda potato flakes. I seasoned the cream with pepper, salt and etc and it was great. Thank you!

Oyster Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
My kids enjoyed this well enough, but I could still taste the oyster-yness in it, which I am not fully supportive of, even though I like oysters. I wanted it to carmelize more, crisp more. I have tried other oyster/chicken dishes that seemed to work better.

Pork Tenderloin Diane

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2011
I thought that this was a great way to make pork tenderloin. Usually we grill, but it was raining and so I had to rethink. THis was simple but delicious. My kids even liked it, and the neighbor boy called it "the best chicken ever". I made it as is and didnt change anything. Thanks!

Grilled Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
Loved this chicken - only reason that I gave 4/5 is that the sauce was wayyyy too salty. And I am a saltaholic. Maybe the soy I used, not sure. Once I reduced, it was inedible b/c of the sodium. I used a tiny portion and added water, and just LIGHTLY brushed it on top when I grilled. I loved the result - flavorful and somewhat healthier than with all the sauciness.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
When I was eating the dough, I thought that these would be the best cookies ever. I didn't think so though - good texture, nice and soft, but too little pumpkin flavor. I was disappointed. Without the glaze they would have been a total waste. Next time I will look for ones with more pumpkin. The raw dough, however, remains a favorite!!!! The strange thing though is my kids Love them and the kids at school beg my kids to bring them in. Maybe because they aren't too pumpkin?? No clue.

Creamy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
My family loved this more than I did, but it was so easy and with rave reviews, how can i not rate it well. I also thickened the sauce with flour, and added some mustard for more taste. I thought the dish was a little bland. I was worried that the pork would look anemic and pale w/o browning beforehand, but it looked fine. I just would spice it up a bit with some more flavor.

Pollo Bianco

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
I give this 4 and a half - very tasty and easy prep. I love a chicken thigh, they make everything better. I used boneless, skinless thighs - still tender and flavorful w/o bone. Great easy recipe, thanks!
