Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
I've made this several times and it was more and more wonderful each time. I consider it fool proof! Just follow the recipe, and maybe look at the video for it - you won't go wrong ;-)

Garlic Roasted Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This recipe is wonderful! I didn't have the potatoes, so just used sliced carrots. So good! And the aroma! Thanks for the recipe.

Rustic Country Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
Try using a pan of water in the oven during the bake, as well as moistening the loaves themselves. Very nice, crispy crust and moist chewy interior. I'd never used a starter before and this has made me a believer. It's a slow, gentle way to make bread and I always feel rewarded when I take a bite of this luscious bread. Good things do, indeed, come to those who wait! Thanks Chris!

Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie)

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
A wonderful, buttery tasting, rich recipe! The choice of feta seems to matter, as I've made it with 2 different kinds. The first was from feta purchased at our farmer's market and the second was from a commercially purchased cheese. The first one was the best, by far, being much richer and creamy. I used prewashed baby spinach and was very happy I did as it cut down some of the prep time. Like I said, I've made it twice and DH is requesting it as a weekly regular! Thanks for the great recipe, Silverwolf

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Wow! I made this last night to go with turkey and the trimmings and I couldn't be more pleased! I did use evaporated milk and splenda but those were the only changes. It was rich and just so...delicious! This is definitely a keeper! Thanks for the recipe!

Tuscan Style Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
I made this tonight, and the aroma - oh, my! Very flavourful and just the right amount of everything. I'm so impressed that there was only 3.1 gms of total fat, 29gms of carbs and 0 cholesterol. I'm a type 2 diabetic and making this was not only fun, but added another solid winner to my faves! Thank you Robyn, for another great recipe!

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
OK. I've lived all over north America and I've had ribs just about everywhere. This recipe is the best I've ever eaten - and I made them myself! I can't believe they came out of my oven! Thank you so much for the great recipe! It'll be used again and again!

Spinach Quiche

Absolutely, positively delicious! My husband, a finicky eater, raved over this dish. I'd never tried feta cheese in quiche, but it really made a difference. Very tasty! Thank you so much for the recipe Bailey!

Sun-Dried Tomato and Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
These are outstandingly delicious - moist and flavourful! Never again will I crave restaurant burgers while I have a recipe like this one! Oh, and be sure to put the dried tomatoes into boiling water for 2 minutes first and blot with paper towels! This really makes a difference in the final outcome and you won't get the overwhelming dried tomato taste. I just made these a few days ago and I'm wanting more! Thanks for this recipe!

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Just spectacular, and quite a good amount of food! It lasted almost a week for the two of us. I made it in a 5 quart dutch oven and it nearly overran the pot! I'd suggest something a bit bigger. All in all a great recipe. Thank you, Clair!

Sourdough Bread III

Delicious with great texture. One caveat; watch the time it's in the oven! I also make heavy slices across the dough ball before it rises the second time. Thanks for the recipe!

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Wow, much better than store-bought! I also used slivered almonds instead of pistacios, and upped the almond extract another half teaspoon. I made half the batch plain and the other half I dipped in melted chocolate and dusted with chopped almonds. Definitely wet your hands with cool water before handling the logs before baking. They will be much easier to handle. Oh, and if you want to use these for coffee dipping, make sure they're baked long enough the second time and nice and crispy. Thanks very much for the recipe!

Very good recipe! I unknowingly used whole wheat bread flour and it turned out very well. Next time will use regular bread flour. Loved the taste!

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Wow! You really can't fail with this recipe! I used yeast that was "almost" expired, milk that was too cool and didn't let them rise enough. I put them in a cold oven and dialed the temp to 375, and darned if the little things didn't rise in the oven and cook to a flaky goodness! They're restaurant good, as another poster said. I will be using this recipe many, many times! Thanks!

Roast Pork Loin Chop

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
Marvelously moist - a cross between ribs and pork chops. I did liberally sprinkle the chops with garlic salt for a bit more flavour. Even the onions were gobbled up! Will definitely make these again!
