So far christmas has been a blast, a huge obnoxious german family and alcohol to top it off with. It was pretty intense, but I cooked and made it through. Only about 2 more months left until the competition, very nervous. Fort Lee here I come.
Hi, my name is Susie. I am currently on the Culinary Team for Fort Riley. The Big Red 1. My job on a daily basis is to create works of art for the Competitions at Fort Lee, VA in springtime. My job is to create gourmet foods, but my favorite is the ability to make comfort foods with a gourmet healthy twist to them.
My favorite things to cook
I pretty much like to cook anything and enjoy it as long as it doesn't take a longer time cleaning up the dish and doing dishes than actually making the product.
My favorite family cooking traditions
German foods is my specialty; living in Wisconsin gave me that opportunity.
My cooking triumphs
I have never failed at throwing anything on the grill or tossing in a saute pan, almost always it turns out the way I like.
My cooking tragedies
Baking is definitly not something I specialize in. I will still try it from time to time, but it never seems to work out.
