Born in California, I grew up in the Outback of Australia. My mother os a baker and a good cook, so living with her I rarely lifted a finger to help. Now that I have moved out on my own, I have had no choice to learn to cook. So, here I am!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking just about anything with eggs and rice. My best friend is the daughter of a traditionally trained Chef from Hong Kong, so many of his dishes are my inspiration.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the holidays because my family comes together with great meals and my mother brings in her wonderful recipes.
I also love the traditions of my best friend's family and going to the temple with her for some great meals, too.
My cooking triumphs
My greatest triumph, as I have only been cooking for less than three months, is my Thanksgiving Dinner for 2010. It was only set for two, but I made beautiful Cornish Hens and varios dishes which my boyfriend loved, all thanks to this site.
My cooking tragedies
My cooking is generally a tragedy, but my biggest tragedy was when I tried cooking chicken for the first time and made the whole house sick. That was the last time for two years I even thought about cooking before now. Eeek!
