Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2014
I wanted to keep as close to the recipe as written, but I did make a few alterations based on other reviews (there are so many!) and the fact that I had buttermilk I needed to use up. I used low sodium chicken broth instead of bouillon, I didn't add salt or pepper, but had that on the table for those that wanted it. I used Kate's buttermilk instead of milk. I wish I had some fresh scallions to throw on top, will be prepared for next time and there will be a next time. I too added a little bit of shredded Mexican cheese, it was what I had on hand, and had that available for adding on top if anyone wanted to add more. This was my first time making ham and potato soup and it was delicious! Also wish I had taken a picture, but will next time. Definitely a keeper!

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2014
I tried this recipe and loved it! Based on other reviews I swapped out the sour cream for buttermilk and for personal preference omitted the salt and was fantastic! I was leery about the dill weed, but I really think this truly made this recipe. Will use again and will use sour cream for dipping fresh veggies.

Mama's Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2013
This was very good! I adjusted to my families taste and to try to cut the calories a bit, I whisked half the called for mayo and half skim milk and horse raddish mustard, then added to the potatoes. I also added some green pepper. Chilled for a couple of hours before serving. Great recipe, thanks!

Cream of Mushroom Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2013
I just finished making this and it ws very good! I used portobella mushrooms and instead of throwing out the stems, I made my own stock. I pured the stems and used instead of the veggie stock. I did need to add a bit of salt as there really was none in the stock. I also used yellow onion because that is what I had onhand. I will make again. Thanks for the recipe!

Cheesy Chicken Pepper Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
This is a good base recipe that can be customized to taste. I added onion, a large portobella mushroom and 2 cloves v garlic, no garlic power. I also used mexican mix cheese along with a little bit of cheese ends. Mixed with bow tie pasta and this was a really good meal!

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
This is a great base recipe that I use all the time with slight modification. Instead of poultry seasoning, I use Bell's. It is a blend of Rosemary, oregano, sage, ginger, margoram, thyme and pepper. I also use milk instead of chicken broth. If you cook the stuffing in the bird, there is no need. Excellent and making it right now as we speak!

Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This was very good, but I changed a few things, so I couldn't rate this a 5, but good base recipe. I used chicken instead of beef. I used 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce and 3/4 cup water and added one beef boulion cube. then I used about 3 tbl spoons of brown sugar, added about 2 cups of broccoli and used no onions. Then in the end I added a mixture of 2 tbl spoons water with 1 tbl spoon corn starch then poured it into the chicken, broccoli and sauce to thicken it up a bit. Served with white rice. Was absolutely wonderful!

My family loves this toast! They would have it every night if I would serve it. Add your own personal touch and make it your own!

Delicious Slow Cooker Chicken with gravy

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
I think this makes a super easy and delicious meal. You don't have to add the potatoes and carrots if you want to make something different on the side and the juice makes a wonderful gravy!

Kerry's Homemade Mac and Cheese

Creamy and very tasteful. It tastes just a little different every time with the variety of cheeses you get from the deli. Everyone I have served this too absolutely loves it!

Beef Bourguignon II

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
This was a really great recipe and the beef just fell apart, very tender! I did have to add about 1 cup of beef broth about 2 or so hours into it. Everyone loved it! I think next time I will add some additional veggies to round it out a little more, but this is a keeper!
