Butterscotch Pudding II

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
for taste- amazing! for calories- yikes! But, overall this is a great recipe... took me about 5 minutes, and soo yummy. You should really whisk CONSTANTLY and add the milk very slowly to get a great creamy and smooth texture. This was my first time so I used 3\4 brown sugar and 1\4 white. Not too sweet but still nice and butterscotchy. I also added an extra yolk (using them up), 1/2 the amount of butter and some vanilla. Didn't cut out the flavor at all, really nice!!

Nacho Dip I

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2011
This is delicious!! Make sure you get the cream cheese REALLY soft before you mix it, otherwise it'll be lumpy. Yuck. Microwave for at least 30seconds, and then slowly stir in the sour cream and finally the taco seasoing. Let it sit in the fridge for a while to let it set before spreading salsa on top- homemade salsa tastes much better than store bought!! Be sure to chop your leattuce in short, thin pieces to make dipping easier. Top it off with cheese and whatever fresh veggies you like: my fave's are diced cucumbers, sliced onion, sliced cherry tomatoes. Every recipe needs some experience before it's perfect & i thought id share mine!!

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
THANKYOU! This cake is wonderfully easy! It only took me about 10 minutes but I didn't have and eggs, so I googled it and it sayed to substitute milk, so I did. So far, it looks INCREDIBLE, smells EVEN BETTER and I can't wait to taste it on sunday- it's going into a 5-layer cake with 3 layers choc, 2 layer strawberry cheesecake topped off with strawberry icing and chocolate covered strawberries..... Happy birthday mom

Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
wow! So easy! I haven't eaten any yet, but it only took me 10 minutes to make- pretty too! I'm making a 5-layer cake with 3 devils food cake and 2 of strawberry swirls. I wanted a fresher taste so I used fresh strawberries, pureed with sugar and microwaved for 2m. The batter tastes nice and light too, which is perfect for what I am making it for! Will update with how it tastes :) ! :) !

Marinara Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
This sauce is very light & fresh. A new favorite of mine!! It is so simple and quick, I was very surprised at how good it was. I reduced the wine (it was my dad's, I didn't want to use it up, lol!) and used 4tsp of dried basil. I cannot wait to try it with fresh basil!! Deff a keeper!

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
The batter was ready in just 5m! I didn't even need a electric mixer. I made it all by hand, and it turned out fairly dense but they are still delicious! It seemed like there was too much vanilla in the batter, so next time I'll reduce that a bit. Also, they needed to be in the oven for about 5 extra mins, and they're still very moist. They made my house smell like a bakery and now I get to decorate them with vanilla frosting, a drizzle of dark cocoa mint candy melts and peppermint sprinkles (for -christ-mas). Definetly my new "base" cupcake recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
Best. Cookies. Ever.! This is my standard choco-chip recipe!! I was always bummed that my cookies were never chewy like from the bakery, but ta-da!! These are better than from the bakery! I have to stop making them because my family gobbles them down so fast!

Caramel Frosting I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
Sweet! I was looking for a glaze\forsting for some cinnamon buns, and this is DELICIOUS. I made it in the microwave (just microwave on high for 1 min instead of boiling!!) and I used evaporated milk. It turned out really great, but I recommend sifting the sugar to avoid any lumps.
