Chicken Tetrazzini for a Crowd

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
I have made this recipe as is for years (except that I make 1/3 the serving for my family of 5). My children LOVE it. We generously sprinkle lemon pepper on our dish after it's baked. If you have trouble finding pimentos look in the olive isle in your grocery store. They come in very small glass containers. It's just not the same without them (I did that once because I forgot to buy them).

I have never made Hollandaise sauce before. This was quick and came out really tasty.

I made this recipe as written. Yummy. I think I'll add more condensed milk to make the middle layer creamier.

Fasoliyyeh Bi Z-Zayt (Syrian Green Beans with Olive Oil)

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2011
We loved it. Made it as stated in recipe (except for one ingredient). I thought I still had fresh cilantro, but it had already died off. I would love to try it with cilantro next time. Great way to cook green beans. No extra water to boil off the vitamins.

Banana Muffins with a Crunch

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
They were really good. I used 1 C whole wheat flour, 1/2 C almond flour, and 1 1/2 all-purpose flour. I also cut the sugar to 1 C and it came out great. The granola I used did not come out chewy, it was small chunks of granola and that might have made the difference.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
I love this recipe. Yes, very peanut buttery and sweet. But, you can tell by the ratio of pb to sugar that it's going to be so be sure to adjust the amount of sugar. I almost always put less sugar in my cookies. I found that hand mixing the ingredients gives the cookies a better texture. Be sure to cook them just until the start to crack. Like I said I use less sugar, but then I turn around and add chocolate chips. I know, crazy, but I love chocolate and peanut butter.

One Week – Six Dinners – Just $100

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I love allrecipes. Have used it for over 10 years. I love the idea of the menu planner, but even though I'm not very organized when it comes to meal planning I'm able to make dinner for $10 or less for a family of five (no teenage boys yet). I usually plan around what meat is on sale for the week. I'll give this a try and see if I can keep to my $10 or less rule. Thank you for the planner.

Yummy. My wholde family loves it. I add corn tortillas torn into strips and red enchilada sauce to make it a dinner. I also heat the dip in a sauce pan. Then, layer sauce, tortillas and dip in baking pan and bake.

Caramelized French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Fantastic. My family loved it. I made stuffed french toast using strawberry flavored cream cheese between to slices of toast then caramelized it. First time I had the pan too hot and the caramelizing didn't work so well. I let the pan cool down a bit and it worked so much better. Thank you for the recipe.

Best Tuna Casserole

I wasn't sure what me family would think of Tuna Casserole. I loved it as a kid. So, I tried it and they LOVED it. I only had one cream of mush and one cream of chicken. And I added a little milk for extra moisture. I will make this again.

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
I did as suggested and added a Tablespoon of sour cream to the cookie dough. It was easy to work with the dough. No flour needed. I rolled the dough into a log and sliced it evenly and got 32 slices. I patted them flat (as did my 9 yr old son) and placed the pre-divided filling onto the dough and formed it around the filling. It was slightly time consuming. My son did a great job and wasn't frustrated. The cookies came out great. We took them to a potluck and everyone loved them.

White Chocolate Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Made it with no changes to the ingredients. I put it on dough cycle and baked it in the oven. The consistency of the dough looked as if it needed more flour, but I baked it anyway. It came out great. I think baking it this way helped to distribute the white chocolate. We are going to use the rest of the loaf to make French Toast.

Yummy. Slightly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. We ate them up in less than 24 hours. My kids couldn't get enough of them. I made them just as the recipe stated.

Granola-Chocolate Cookies

Good flavor. A little sweet even though I cut the sugar down a 1/4 C. I think I will add 1/2 C more flour next time. After the first batch I turned the oven down to 350 and baked for only 10 minutes. The cookies were too thin and started to burn at 12 min at 375.

Grain and Nut Whole Wheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
I made the recipe as written (with one exception I didn't have buttermilk, so I used/made sour milk). My elementary kids ate until they were beyond full. I got a bite while it was still hot and loved it too. They were moist and flavorful. Two of my kids put a little butter on them and skipped the syrup.

Very Good. I followed the recipe almost to a T. I used 1/2 C marg, 8oz baby food prunes, 8oz apple sauce. For the flour I used 1 C. flour, 1/2 C whole wheat. I used 3 eggs instead of 2. Also, I didn't flatten the cookies before baking.

Sweet Corn Tomalito

Yes, thank you. It was excatly what I was looking for. My husband has always loved Chevy's dish so I thought I would surprise him with it. He loved it!! I didn't know what masa harina was. I did find Instant Corn Masa Mix and it worked. I cooked the Sweet Corn Tomalito in the microwave for the 7 and 4 and it worked very well. Thanks to all.

Monster Cookies II

These cookies are very very good. They come out great each time. I make them at least once a month. I use a cookie dough scoop to place them on the cookie sheet and I don't flatten them. They are NOT dry, crumbly or tastless. Just make sure you mix it well.
