I just made this recipe for our church function tomorrow. Yes, it is time consuming, but only because I had only one 9-inch spring form. I baked the layers for 10 minutes each. they came out very nice and delicious. I was going to make a square cake but my square pan was way too big, so the cake became a 5-layer cake. I did not make the top layer with the sugar, I just didn't feel like bothering with it. I will dust it with cocoa powder and it will be a Stephanie Cake (Stefania torta in Hungarian). They are the same except one is with sugar layer on top, the other with cocoa powder. I did not use the buttercream that comes with the recipe only because of the raw eggs it called for. I used a different recipe that called for cooking the eggs with sugar. However, the cake looks great, can't wait to cut it tomorrow to see the results. It also tastes delicious as I had to do some "formatting" and tasted it with the chocolate cream. YUMMY!!!

Delicious sweet bread with cinnamon flavor. Excellent with coffee or milk or hot chocolate. I make this almost every week, my husband loves it.

YUMMY!!! These are very delicious oatmeal cookies. I used 1/2 of the white sugar, replaced the other half with Splenda. Although I find it to be on the sweeter side, they are very good. I had only 3/4 cup of chocolate chips so I used 1 cup of raisins in addition. They turned out great, and will make them again.

As a European, Wiener schnitzel is a staple in our house. We buy the meat at the German butcher shop, always fresh and prepared for a schnitzel. Mashed potatoes is the favorite side dish with the meat and sometimes sauteed red cabbage or Hungarian cucumber salad. However, using ketchup with this delicious dish is a "cardinal sin" in this household.

The batter was thick, had to use 1/2 a cup of milk. The muffins after 30 minutes felt like they were not done, but they browned nicely. I couldn't fold in the blueberries the batter was so thick. The muffins hardly rose, they stayed almost the same size as before baking. Because I'm diabetic, I used sugar substitute. Could that be the reason these didn't turn out???

This is a very good recipe. I have tried several challah recipes and we loved this one. Reading other reviews, some of them mentioned "stickiness". I used 4 1/2 cups of flour and it wasn't sticky at all. Also, recipe says 20-25 minutes. At 25 minutes it hardly had any color. But this was not a big deal I just baked it longer, about 40 minutes.

This was an excellent dish. I made it with twice as much liquid and made gravy for the rice with it. It was a birthday dinner and everybody loved it. I will certainly make it again. YUM!!

Excellent lasagna, I was worried the sauce might not be enough, because I used a somewhat larger than 13x9 pan. But it was enough and it was a success. I will definitely make it again.
