Braised Corned Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
Excellent method for cooking corned beef. I made this yesterday and was not sure about brushing the beef with the browning sauce and using all that garlic, but I wanted to try the recipe as written. I'm so glad I didn't change anything. This was the best corned beef I have ever made -- and I've made plenty in my 50+ years! My husband and son loved the taste and texture. It was really moist and held together. I'll never use the boiled recipes again. Thanks for the great recipe, Mauigirl!

The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
I couldn't wait to make this recipe after I saw the video. I was really disappointed with the result. I thought the crouton idea was "genious," but it really didn't work for me. Glad others enjoyed it, but I won't make again. (And I really love Chef John!)

Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2012
These are the BEST! Thank you for sharing this recipe and for NOT pouring canned soup over everything. My family loves this recipe and I make it when the market has thick-cut chops...which is not often enough!

Chocolate Almond Freezer Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Wonderful cookies! I chopped the chocolate and almonds in the food processor to make it easier. Loved the convenience of making the dough ahead and then baking them off when I wanted. I sprinkled the top with some sanding sugar before baking. I bit hit in our house. Think I have to make another batch very soon!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Made this for dinner yesterday and the result was hardly worth the expense. I think there may be some confusion -- a pork tenderloin is different than a pork loin roast. Perhaps it would have been better had I made it with the loin and not the tenderloin that the recipe called for. Save the tenderloin for oven roasting and use less tender cuts for the slow cooker.

Pesto

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2006
This is it! Real, authentic pesto. I made several batches this morning with our fresh garden basil and my son was in pesto heaven! If you are making and freezing one-cup batches as I am, then cover the top of each container with a thin layer of olive oil. Basil tends to turn brown when exposed to air. When you thaw the container, the basil won't turn color. Use the best Extra Virgin Olive Oil you can afford! Thanks for the great recipe!

Hummus III

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2006
Hummus Heaven! This is a great "base" recipe that accepts additions very well. I have, in the past, added freshly roasted red peppers. I tried a new twist today: I omitted the salt and olive oil and added one more clove of garlic and approximately 1/4 pound of pitted calamata olives. I also threw in a few green stuffed olives. Excellent! Before serving do try to let it blend flavors and "develop character" in the fridge overnight. So fast and easy. Good for me, too, right? OH PLEASE LET THIS BE GOOD FOR ME!!!

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2005
I make these on a regular basis to have on hand in the freezer for an on-the-go breakfast. To make them a bit healthier, I use whole wheat pastry flour (more fiber) and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (omega 3.) Next time I'll substitute half of the oil with applesauce to lower the fat content a bit (since I've increased the fat calories because of the walnuts.) Thanks for a great recipe, Karen.

Libby's® Pumpkin Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2004
My house smells wonderful! This recipe is a great find. If you are reading reviews, you must be interested so stop reading and start baking! I tried to make it a bit healthier by using whole wheat pastry flour, and substituting 1/2 cup applesauce for half of the oil. I also added grated orange rind and a cup of chopped walnuts. (Both are great additions!) Made 12 muffins and two 9x5 loaves. It is a bit too sweet for me, but that is probably becuase I used dried cranberries instead of fresh. I can't wait to share a loaf with my co-workers tomorrow. Thanks for a great recipe!

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Wow! Can't wait to make this for guests. I'm a total bake-from-scratch person. I couldn't imagine graham crackers, pudding mix, and Cool Whip could combine into such a wonderful dessert!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2002
I have used AllRecipies.com for quite a long time but have never felt compelled to write a review until now. This is an excellent marinade. I made it with boneless, skinless chicken thighs. My finicky family (who cringes when I cook something new) asked when I could make it again. A definite new favorite! Thanks.
