Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
I have never tasted Shepards pie before viewing this recipe. It was excellent. I will be adding this to my monthly dinner menu. I followed the recipe exactly, it was easy and the taste is delicious.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2012
This was my 1st attempt ever making chocolate chip cookies...I used 1 1/2 cp walnuts because I like them other than that I followed the recipe exactly. The recipe made a bit more than 4 dozens. It could be due to the fact that I used a medium sized scoop. I will definitely be making these again. I prefer these over store bought.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs (Suan T'ien Niu Jou Po Lo La Tzu)

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
This by far was one of my favorite recipes that I have prepared from this site. I followed the recipe almost exactly as written. Changes I made were I baked the meatballs as one of the reviewers noted and I added green onions and a bit of bread crumbs to the ground beef. ooh I also doubled the sauce as one reviewer said. It tastes so great over the rice. I would give this recipe more stars if I could!!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
This was an excellent recipe. I did make some changes such as onion powder, celery flakes, frozen peas and carrot mix and I shredded chicken thighs after I boiled them. The biscuts really made the meal. 1 biscut required lots of the chicken mixture. The biscut mix made approximately 7 nice size biscuts. However the overall taste was excellent and everyone enjoyed it

Hobo Beef and Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
I gave the receipe 5 stars because I am not a soup eater...however this soup has changed my mind. Although I did not follow the directions directly...it's the type of receipe that doesnt have to be. As many of the reviews said you will need some extra beef broth. I also added some Mrs. Dash & black pepper. I could not find celery seed but I had the fresh celery and celery flakes. Also, I had some left over ground beef already cooked so I omitted making the ground beef mixture on the stove, I just added everything to the crockpot set it to 10hrs and went to bed..I used frozen veggies vs can and they were not soggy but nice and crisp once the soup was complete.

Chinese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
I did not use the full amount of the Soy Sauce because I ran out..plus I red many of the reviews and I did not want them to turn out too salty. I also added a few red pepper flakes and a dash or 2 of Worcestershire. This was my 1st time trying this recipe or anything remotely close to it. I am totally satisfied with the outcome. I will be adding this to my menu for a long time to come. Kudos to the adder!

Russian Tea Cakes I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I wasn't a big fan. I did make some changes based on some of the other reviews that spoke of the cakes being crumbly. I added a bit of cream cheese. I had to cook them longer than the the 12 minutes but everyone else loved them. I'm going to make them again minus the cream cheese to see how they will turn out.

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
I made these for Thanksgiving and this was my first time EVER making homemade dinner rolls. I went directly by the directions and it was a breeze and they turned out perfect except my family like their rolls sweet. I made these again..but doubled the sugar and they were perfect.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
This is the best hot Cocoa I have ever had!! I did not have the half & half. But when I drink the package hot cocoa I usually add coffee cream to it. I did the same with this and it turned out gr8. I will be making this all winter long

The Big Easy Jambalaya

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
This was my 1st time attempting to make Jambalaya. I followed the recipe almost exactly. I didn't have a yellow pepper - so as for veggies I used a green pepper, lil green onion..only because I prefer green onion and some sweet onion. I read 1 review where a lady saute her shrimp & sausage b4 adding them. I did and added the creole seasoning and red pepper. If you cannot eat spicy food DO NOT add the red pepper. I was able to eat it but some people complained that it was too hot. Over all this was gr8 recipe!!

Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
I read some of the reviews and added 1 cup half & half and 1 cup 2% milk. I didn't have white pepper so I added a bit of black pepper & this was excellent. I could not tell the difference from the time consuming from scratch clam chowder that I usually make. This is a gre8 recipe

French Quarter Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Excellent...however...I used 1lb french bread & all other ingredients had to be doubled or it would have been dry. No one in my home eats rasins so I used crushed pineapple and pecans. However, it would have been great w/out it!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I followed what the 1st reviewer did...which was to place most of the ingredients in a crock pot...I also agree that shredding the chicken is the most time consuming part. They turned out GREAT!! Will definitely make again..My daughter is not a fan of Mexican food but she loved them.
