Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
I actually only needed the icing part of this recipe. Simple and cream cheesy deliciousness. I even ended up adding those pecans cause I thought the picture was pretty. One day when I have time to make a homemade from scratch cake, I will give this a go. Family loved it.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2014
Exactly what I was looking for! Used hillshire farms beef smokies and classic cut bacon. Followed the simple directions and didn't even open the oven to peak. What I love is that the brown sugar is to taste so half the smokies got a coating of the sugar and the other half got none and I like it both ways. Some had a beautiful crunchy coating on bottom and some were more of a glaze. Loved them all. On a side note, I don't even like bacon really and this was for my family as an appetizer while waiting for Easter supper. BUT give me bacon this way and I might just change my whole outlook on bacon! I did eat quite a few.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
Family loved it but it was a little vinegar(y) for my taste. And others commented on the (fishy)flavor of the canned chicken. Thought I could get around that by using Swanson's brand but it was still an obvious flavor to me. I will certainly make this again but will add my own cooked chicken and different hot sauce. Franks is suppose to be the best but I didn't care for it.However that's just my personal taste. Recipe was SUPER easy to make and overall was a BIG hit!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2014
Listen up folks, this is it! I read some of the helpful reviews and this was my first time making this. I didn't add any seasoning or sear the meat or put any rub on it. Just a bottle of a&aw rootbeer and a 7lb pork shoulder instead of tenderloin (gotta lot of mouths to feed 'round here and tenderloin is expensive) but recipe is easy and spot on. Mine went in my Dutch oven cause I couldn't shove that big ol' swine in my crockpot! 325 for 4 hours in the oven and that was all that piggy said! I will definitely be adding this to the permanent recipe box.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
DELICIOUS!! Tender meat with a great crunchy outside coating and a thick, creamy sauce. Better than my mother's and hers were great, which is why I searched high and low for a comparable recipe..but this one outdoes hers by a long shot. This recipe goes in my box.
