Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
Yum. I could eat this sauce with a spoon. Very delicious. I used heavy whipping cream since that is what I had, and then tossed it with 24 ozs cooked spaghetti. Think next time I will use less spaghetti so that it is saucier. I wanted to dip my bread in this. Will definately make again!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2003
This is very good. It is rare that I find a recipe that everyone in my family likes. I did have to tell my husband not to salt it (he just shakes salt on everything and tastes it after) It is a touch on the salty side. Very rich, and very easy to make. My extremely picky 8 year old said this deserves more than 5 stars. Im giving it five stars based on the fact that everyone was happy and we have no leftovers. Its not my perfect dish, but I will definately make it again.

Ginger Glazed Chicken with Pineapple Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
We loved this! It looks beautiful, like restaurant food. I cooked my chicken breasts on the foreman grill, and we added a half of a seeded jalapeno to the salsa which was great. The salsa really compliments the chicken. I read the reviews and put in less cilantro, and my husband still said it was too overpowering, and we like cilantro. So thats the only tweak I will make.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2004
This is a favorite at our house. I use medium size breasts and pound them out, and sort of tuck in the sides as I roll. Both of my kids love these, and it is probably one of my husbands favorite dishes. It does need a sauce, and a very simple one is just to mix some mayo and mustard together. Which might sound gross, but if you ever had the Malibu Chicken at Sizzlers restaurant (which was my favorite as a kid) then you know it tastes good, and goes perfect with this combo.

Brunch on the Bayou

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2004
It is excellent, and though people are sort of sceptical about it at first for some reason, once they get a taste they LOVE it. I made it the first time with breakfast sausage since that is what i had, and it was great that way too.

Glazed Corned Beef with Lentils

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2003
This is soooo good. I have been making a difference glazed corned beef for years now, and I had bought several corned beefs when they were on sale on St Patricks day. We like our other recipe so much that I never make a different one. I am so glad I decided to finally try something new. Definately make the lentils, they are delicious with the meat. I lined my baking pan with foil, and used the chili sauce in the lentils. I never would have thought the two would pair so well together. Definately a keeper.

Buffalo Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2004
This makes a LOT of cookies. They are wonderful though. I dont think I would have normally made them, since the list of ingredients is so long, but I had everything on hand and was trying to use up Raisin Bran since I had 3 boxes of it. The cookies have a wonderful chewy and crispy texture. Very good.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2006
Oh this is gooood. The only change I made was to add one more can of clams, and the only potatoes I had were yukon golds. Absolutely delicious. Will make again. The vinegar sounds odd, but put it in.

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2006
This is great. It tastes fantastic, and has a great texture and is really pretty! I got three loaves out of this recipe. I forgot the vanilla on accident, but it still tastes really good. Thank you!

Hoagie Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2004
I LOVE this stuff. I also added a little vinegar to my first batch, and have made it since with italian dressing, or the hoagie dressing they sell in squeeze bottles. Makes it taste the way i like to eat my sandwiches. Absolutely delicious, and i will make it again and again. Pepperoncinis are good in there too. Thank you!

Mock Lobster

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2004
This is fantastic. I love monkfish! And it was the first time I have ever tried it. LOL I am new to cooking and eating fish, as my Dad was allergic to it and I just never learned how to cook it. Well, this recipe is sooo so very easy and this type of fish is just awesome. I love lobster, and had heard this tastes similar and it does! I didnt have paprika, so I used a little lemon pepper and served it with melted butter to dip it in and lemon wedges. Some asparagus and rice and my husband and I are still going on about dinner. I left off the breadcrumbs.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2004
I really love this salad, and I make it often even if I dont have all the ingredients on hand. It is adaptable. I love the bacon in it, but I didnt feel like cooking any tonight and made this salad without it anyway, and its still delicious.

Pastachutta

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2002
This incredibly easy recipe is delicious. It is deceptive, because of the short list of ingredients. Really good. My toddler liked it, but my seven year old didnt. I didnt expect him to, because of the dreaded mushrooms and onions. But everyone else loved it. I will definately be making this regularly.

Zesty Porcupine Meatballs

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2005
This is getting 5 stars from me because everyone in our house ate it and liked it, which is really rare. Its easy, economical, and tastes good. I had to leave out the onion because of the kids, and I put in a little onion powder for flavor. The worcestershire sauce really adds something to this. Definately not gourmet food, but great for families.

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
When you look at the list of ingredients in this recipe it is deceptive, who would imagine that such a short list of things would create such a wonderful flavor! Really loved this. I used two packages of italian dressing, and did half the jar of peppers about half way thru and the other half at the end, with all the juice. Used better quality rolls and everyone loved it!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2004
This is really good. I didnt have any sherry, so i just added extra marsala. Delicious! My husband loved it. I added extra mushrooms, and simmering it covered reduced it to a very nice thick sauce. Will definately make again.

Mike's Favorite Grilled Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
Classic grilled cheese. The only thing I can add is it makes a huge difference to cook low and slow. Low heat and slow cooking will give you a really nice toasty crunch. My 12 year old just learned how to make his own, and is a pro.

Greek Style Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2003
Love these. I did substitute chicken broth for the water/bouillon cubes, and used 1 cup. I also used a greek seasoning. I hate to review a recipe when I altered it, but I think I stayed pretty close. I will definately make again.
