Cheesy Spinach Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
This was ok. I used fresh spinach that I steamed and chopped, and didnt have any artichoke hearts so I left that out. Kind of bland and if I were to make it again I might tinker with it a little bit. Seemed to have some possibilities, but didnt really excite me.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2005
Sorry, definately not a recipe I will be making again. We had mixed reviews here. I love garlic lemon chicken, and my husband and kids love anything with cheese so I thought this would be perfect for us. The flavor combination didnt really do anything for me. Wasnt very lemony, and the cream cheese predominated. Mostly this tasted like breaded baked chicken with cream cheese. Kind of bland. It was easy to make however.

Party Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2005
I really do not like to give bad reviews, but this was not something I will ever make again, nor would I recommend to anyone. My Mother and Father actually liked it which is why I am giving it at least two stars. Weird combination of flavors, that just never seemed to really work together. The sauce was ok but just wasnt enough to redeem this in my opinion. I was surprised by how many people liked this so much.

The Best Garlic Bread

Reviewed: May 13, 2005
I wasnt really impressed with this bread. I am not exactly sure why not, it just wasnt that great. It wasnt bad, and we ate the whole thing with our pasta but I really doubt I would make it again.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: May 8, 2005
I tried Lemon cream pasta with chicken (from this site) last week and we loved it so much I looked for similar recipes and found this one. I love the cream in the sauce. We all liked this, I probably would have given it a 4 and a half but my husband said it was a six so I compromised. Very different and good, will make again.

Lemon Cream Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2005
This is sooo good. Rarely do I find something that we all like, but this was good for both my husband and myself and both the kids. This was like something I would order at a restaurant. It didnt look so fantastic, because it was all white.. but this is great.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2005
I feel bad giving this a bad review after all the good reviews. Maybe I did something wrong, but my chickens came out awful. They were very very dry. I noticed I ended up with a lot of juices in the pan, no carmelizing happened for me.. but I did follow the directions, no idea why mine didnt turn out.

Purple Apple Slaw

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2005
This was very good. Everyone enjoyed the taste, and liked it much better than the typical coleslaw. I also thought it was pretty, which was a plus. Very easy to make.

Tartar Sauce I

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2005
This is so easy and so much better than tartar sauce in a jar. I used all the lemon juice, and it was perfect.

Arroz Rojo

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2005
This turned out pretty good for me, but the chili powder flavor was overwhelming. I did double the recipe though, and sometimes that can throw things off, so I might give this another try.

Frijoles I

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2005
Yum! These are the best beans ever. I made a double batch and they were instantly gone. I want more right now as a matter of fact. I put in a little more garlic and usually simmer a jalapeno or two with the beans. Thank you for the recipe!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2005
These are awesome. The green sauce is really really good. I was in Buffalo NY and couldnt get serrano's so I substituted Jalapenos and added a bit extra. I also rolled them a whole pan at a time and topped with Monterey Jack cheese instead, then served with a little choppped onion and cilantro and sour cream. Everyone loved them! Thanks for the recipe, I will definately be using it again and again.

This was good banana bread. I did add vanilla and chopped walnuts to mine. It came out very moist.

Chicken Valdostano

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2005
we really liked this a lot, and will definately make it again. I did make a few tiny changes. I added a little olive oil to the butter when cooking the chicken to keep the butter from burning. After browning the chicken, I put it in a pan in the oven at 350 for awhile because I didnt feel 2 mins a side was enough and I was prepping the sauce, etc. I had pancetta and no prosciutto, so I cooked that up and crumbled it on top of the cheese, and cooked the mushrooms a little while longer until almost all the liquid was gone. (the mushrooms were awesome!) This is a salty dish, I had to catch my husband before he just did his usual shake of salt without tasting. My kids loved it, without the mushrooms. Thanks for the recipe!

Deli Style Brisket

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2005
I think I would make this again if I were able to get a brisket on sale. My store doesnt always have them, and when they arent on sale they are a little pricey. I cooked this about 8 hours and sliced the meat, but my husband and I both decided it needed a little more time. I had already put the flour in the gravy, and we returned the meat to the crockpot. I fell asleep and forgot about it, and he put it away later that evening. When I tried it the next day, it was great. Very tender, and the gravy was excellent! I loved the gravy more than the meat. LOL Totally sopped it up with french bread. I do like this recipe and might try it again, though I think I prefer the oven barbequed brisket found on this site a little better.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2005
I just made this for my husband, and he loves it. I had some lemon dill dijon mustard, and used that. (never knew what to do with it til now) and only had unseasoned breadcrumbs. I am not a fish eater myself, but this was definately an easy easy recipe and one I will keep.

We loved this. I have made it twice since Christmas. I do think I am going to leave the nuts out next time, just personal preference. I had many people ask me for the recipe.

Crackle Top Molasses Cookies

These are nice cookies, but I was hoping for a spicier flavor. Very very easy to make, and they come out pretty. I liked the batches that I undercooked slightly the best, they stayed nice and chewy.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2004
Five stars from my husband. He said it was the best dip he has ever had. I thought it was really good too, though probably a 4 for me, since I liked the one at the restaurants I have tried just a little better. Very rich.

Rice A Roni™ Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2004
I love to take pasta or rice salads to work, so I am always looking for something new. I was really hoping I would like this. Its not bad, I just would not make it again. Something weird with the texture I think, kind of mushy.
