Lebanese Chicken and Potatoes

Not to be mean, but I am not sure why this has so many high ratings. Really just baked chicken, nothing special. I was not impressed. It wasnt bad, but I would prefer to do something different.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

This turned out great for me. My first time ever cooking a lemon meringue pie. I had no problem with runny filling, I was told ahead of time not to over cook the filling. My own personal preference is for a more lemony pie, so I will tweak it a bit next time but this turned out just great.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Huge hit. Everyone absolutely loved this. I used red onions because I prefer them, but other than that did not change a thing. I will definately make this again. The avocado is great in this.

Creamed Spinach I

I used this recipe because it had the texture I wanted, and I was hoping the evaporated milk would be creamy. I really like the method of using the blender, but was disappointed with the flavor as written. I ended up adding about 4 ozs of cream cheese, salt and pepper, and am happy with the final results.

Yakisoba Chicken

Very good. Probably not traditional, with the chili paste in it, but that was ok with us. Definately a 5 star from my husband. I liked it and will make it again since all 4 in my family liked a lot. Tiny bit on the dry side. I used only 1 Tblsp of the paste after reading the reviews and am glad I did. I also added a little sesame seed on top of the finished dish. Will make again.

Rib Eye Steaks with a Soy and Ginger Marinade

I might try this again, and allow for longer marinading time. I had my steak in for about 1 and half hours prior to cooking. It had a nice flavor, was just very mild to me and I was hoping for a stronger flavor and also hoping that with the syrup this would somehow glaze my steak more. Definately not bad though.

Delicious. My husband loved it, and he usually isnt a huge fan of pasta salads. I didnt put quite as much bell pepper, and oregano to taste. Will make this again.

Baked Potato Soup

Very good. Very creamy and satisfying. I did not find the spices overwhelming. For the reviewer who said their potatoes took forever to soften, you need to bake them first. I topped mine with cheese, bacon, and chopped green onion. My kids liked it too.

Original Homemade Italian Beef

When you look at the list of ingredients in this recipe it is deceptive, who would imagine that such a short list of things would create such a wonderful flavor! Really loved this. I used two packages of italian dressing, and did half the jar of peppers about half way thru and the other half at the end, with all the juice. Used better quality rolls and everyone loved it!

Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

Yum. I could eat this sauce with a spoon. Very delicious. I used heavy whipping cream since that is what I had, and then tossed it with 24 ozs cooked spaghetti. Think next time I will use less spaghetti so that it is saucier. I wanted to dip my bread in this. Will definately make again!

Baked Havarti Chicken

Unreal. This is fantastic. I wasnt too sure about this when I was reading the ingredients, but my husband loves anything with chilies and cheese. Not only is it great, but its so easy. Will make again and again. McCormicks makes a great greek seasoning.

Mexican White Sauce

I was intrigued by all the reviews for this. I live in So California, and love mexican food. I have never seen white sauce at a restaurant ever, and no one I knew had either... so of course I wanted to try this since everyone was so excited to have the recipe. Um.. I feel like I made a mistake. Its super super sweet. I guess I should have known, with the miracle whip. This is pretty bad, and like nothing Mexican that I can think of.

I had to try this because it sounded so unusual, and I really wanted to like it. Its not bad exactly, just not something I will ever make again and definately not something I would take anywhere. Very very sweet.

Beef Stroganoff III

I like the flavor of this, though I did add a bit more mustard and used fresh mushrooms instead. I was a little disappointed with the sauce, it was very very thin. I think this is worth trying again, and maybe using the suggestion that others have made about using cream cheese.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

This recipe really has nothing "buffalo" about it. Its a good base recipe for strips though. I made them and then dipped them in buffalo sauce (franks and butter) and served them with blue cheese and celery.
