Pumpkin Cookies V

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
These are really very good. I don't prefer a cakey cookie, but every once in awhile I like them. Not the type of cookie to eat a handful of with a tall glass of milk, but, one or two with a cup of coffee is quite satisfying.

I've been making this for quite a few years and just realized I didn't rate/review it. It's simple, but quite yummy.

Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
This cheesecake was excellent. The only thing I did differently was use vanilla wafer crumbs for the crust. I made it for my daughter's birthday and she was so happy with the way it turned out. The whole family couldn't stop talking about it. Thanks so much.

Banana Oatmeal Crumb Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2005
I didn't measure the bananas, but I used three medium. I think I would put at least one more banana in, or some banana extract. I think it should have baked 5-10 minutes less, but maybe that's my oven. The topping was a little loose, but most of it stayed on the cake. Could have used a little more cinnamon too. Overall though, it was good and I really like the oatmeal idea. I will make it again with my above-mentioned modifications. Thank you Carol!

German Potato Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2005
I could really taste the mayonnaise in this, so much so I thought it took away from the other flavors (and I doubled the velveeta cheese). I think you could get away with 1/2 the mayonnaise, or maybe even leaving it out. Thanks for the recipe, William.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2004
This was really good. I think I would like it, maybe even better, on some other meat, like chicken or even a tender cut of beef. Thanks, Toni!

All of the sugary ingredients resulted in a really dirty roasting pan! It was tasty though. Thanks UMich97!

Mocha Cheese Pie

Reviewed: May 16, 2003
In a hurry last night looking for something easy for my husbands birthday, I quickly found this, and made it before he got home. I didn't even realize until this morning that it was a recipe from Corwynn! I should have known. So far all of her recipes that I've tried have been easy and delicious. And this one was no different. So smooth, creamy, rich...and easy! Thanks Corwynn!

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2003
This is a baked ziti (or penne) with sausage, without the ricotta, of course. It was very tasty. I added some oregano, parsley, basil, and sugar (to cut the acidity). I made extra, so I put a tray in the freezer too. Good thinking on my part, because my husband and son both said they hope we can have that again soon. Thanks SadieQQ!

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2003
Wow! Did this come great! I had a 1 1/4 pound london broil which was perfect 'cause there was extra 'gravy'. Before putting it in the crockpot I rubbed it with a mixture of ground black pepper, paprika and flour. I didn't have to cut it - fit perfectly in pot. Didn't have cream of mushroom, so I used cream of celery, but I doubt that made much of a difference. Added small jar of mushrooms too. Everyone raved! Wish I had leftovers... Thanks Merri!

Melt In Your Mouth Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2003
This is very yummy. The pudding gives it a nice flavor, not overwhelming, and an almost 'creamy' texture. Mine took longer to bake (1 hour, 15 min), but everyone's oven is different. I will definitely make it again. Another winner from Corwynn for my recipe box! Thanks Corwynn!

Chicken Delicious

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2003
This was really good. I used seven chicken breasts and that seemed fine, especially since we love extra sauce. I didn't have sherry so I used wine. Next time I would like to try it with the sherry, but I will definitely make it again either way. I will use the celery salt again, but no extra salt; I just don't think it needed it. We had ours on hard rolls because my husband loves chicken sandwiches, and they were sooo good. It was a winner with us. Thanks Corwynn!
